Manchester United are lining up a £15 million bid for Real Madrid striker Klass Jan Huntelaar as a replacement for Carlos Tevez.
Sir Alex Ferguson is not confident he will keep Tevez at United with Manchester City ready to offer the £25million wanted for the Argentinian.
United are reluctant to pay the asking price set by agent Kia Joorabchian and have started to look elsewhere with Huntelaar on the top of Fergie’s wish-list.

With Sir Alex seemingly set to give up on Carlos Tevez a move for a player of the caliber of Huntelaar will surely please the Man United faithful. A completely different character and style of player to the Argentine, Klaas is a predatory finisher of the highest order and one who was greatly angered by the bizarre decision to not name him in the Champions League squad.
The 25 year old has gone some way to prove that his goal glut in Holland was no flash in the pan and has already shown he knows how to score consistently in La Liga and could well fit in at Old Trafford should Ferguson make a bid.
The only problem in this potential transfer could be the much publicized rows between the two clubs in recent years, most recently in relation to Real Madrid’s none to subtle attempts to unsettle Cristiano Ronaldo.
Huntelaar to Man United: As Florentino Perez looks to rebuild the Bernabeu club into one of the feared sides in Europe he may well opt to get rid of some of the ‘lesser’ names in his squad.
