The all new rumour reporting article system is in full effect!
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Everton’s Joleon Lescott and are willing to offer the Toffees £12 million for the defender, claims the Daily Star.
The British tabloid reports that manager Arsene Wenger is desperate to strengthen his defence this summer and views the 26-year-old as the perfect addition to his squad.
However, he may have a fight on his hands as Everton are believed to be very reluctant to sell Lescott.

Arsenal fans have been pleading with Wenger to bring in some experienced heads to the team and the 26 year old Everton man could well fit the bill. Equally comfortable at left back and in the centre of defence Joleon Lescott could well be a clever bit of business from Arsene.
The former Wolves man has been a mainstay at Goodison Park in recent years and is now a regular fixture in the England set up but could possibly be persuaded to make that step up to the coveted top four and leave his overachieving Everton side in order to push for Champions League football.
With William Gallas and Mikel Silvestre rumoured to be on their way out of the club there is even more of a need for the Emirates boss to bring in solid players to fill soon to be vacant positions. Lescott also has a knack for scoring important goals.
Lescott to Arsenal: I don’t see Moyes standing in Joleon’s way if a bid of value came in for him and the extra funds from such a sale would be invaluable to the Toffeemen.
