Kaka Set to Become World’s Most Expensive Footballer in £56m Real Madrid Swoop!

It was only ever a matter of time!

AC Milan are struggling to keep hold of star midfielder Kaka as reports emerged that Real Madrid had agreed a world record £56m transfer for the Brazilian.
The 27-year-old has also been linked with Chelsea but he is the prime target of new Real president Florentino Perez.
Milan owner and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said: “I don’t know if we’ll be able to keep Kaka because they have offered him so much money.”
It is claimed Kaka’s father and agent Bosco Leite sealed the deal in Madrid. (BBC Sport)

It does seem as though Kaka is about to make the move from San Siro to Bernabeu very soon indeed and whilst Berlusconi points out it’s hard for AC Milan to keep the player because of the size of the offer, it’s worth mentioning that Man City offered a whole lot more some months back but clearly the Brazilian had no desire to sacrifice ambition for cash (are you taking notes Mr. Barry?).

Recently elected Florentino Perez is of course back as President of Real Madrid and promised a stellar line up of ‘new galaticos’ and if he has indeed snared the 27 year old then one can only imagine who else will follow in the coming weeks.

Clearly the La Liga side needed to do something in order to make up the gap to the all conquering Barcelona treble winning side and such a move will go some way to achieving that.
