At least he won’t have to move house?
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is ready to push through a deal for Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez.
The Daily Mail says it is understood that Hughes is confident of persuading Argentina forward Tevez, 25, to move across Manchester from United.
Sources close to new signing Gareth Barry, the former Aston Villa midfielder, have indicated that Hughes was “almost certain” to sign Tevez, even though the official stance from City was merely that they remained confident.

Let the spending begin! With Gareth Barry already snapped up it appears that Mark Hughes is set to sealed before all footballers head for the beach. Next up is much targeted Carlos Tevez who this report suggests is more than likely to complete the move across Manchester to Eastlands.
Man City will have to start working out which players to offload because if they continue to collect forwards like stamps then there could be a mutiny on the club’s hands as all concerned fight for pegs in the dressing room.
Remember this is a club that already has the following strikers (draws deep breath) Robinho, Bojinov, Vassell, Jo, Caicedo, Evans, Benjani, Sturridge, and Craig Bellamy. That is an incredible 9 strikers, of which 8 are full internationals and one is an Under 21 representative. Now unless the club is considering a whole new approach to tactical formations they better start getting rid of a few of those named.
Tevez to Man City: I think this will almost certainly happen.
