Talented youngster on the Anfield and Stamford Bridge Radars!
Liverpool and Chelsea are chasing Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson.
The Sunday Sun says both Premiership giants are eyeing the England U21 international, who has so far baulked at new contract talks with relegated Boro.

Adam Johnson is the player that Boro really won’t want to let go this summer. After Gareth Southgate managed to relegate the north-east side to the Championship all the fuss about who would be fleeing the sinking ship revolved around the likes of Stewart Downing, Tuncay and David Wheater but the young winger is really the prize pick in the Riverside squad.
Rafa is apparently keen on bringing some more natural width to the side and apparently not convinced that Albert Rieira has proven himself since his move to the Premier League last summer. The 21 year old Middlesbrough man has been dubbed the next Downing but to me is already shown enough to make me believe he has what it takes to be much better than the frankly overrated player he is purported to resemble.
The speedy left winger can beat a man for pace and has enough tricks to threaten defences and has a good cross on him which he delivers at pace and with accuracy, albeit with some inconsistency but that can be improved.
Johnson may well decide against a move to Chelsea given the record of young homegrown talents losing their way amongst the club’s stellar foreign squad.
Johnson to Liverpool: Southgate may be more willing to sell the youngster than his big names and that could work well for Benitez.
