Not good news for Gunners fans!
Manchester City’s preoccupation with landing Carlos Tevez and Samuel Eto’o may delay their approach for Toure.
The Ivory Cost international (right) has become unsettled at Arsenal over the past 18 months after run-ins with William Gallas and growing frustration at the lack of success and departure of some key team-mates.
He is excited by the opportunity to join City and would have moved in January if the club had not run into budget constraints.

Well this will be of concern to Arsenal fans as the Insider, whilst not averse to some mistakes, generally does appear to be a decent barometer of transfer comings and goings.
Mark Hughes has been tracking the Ivorian for some time now and it’s true that Kolo isn’t the player he was 18 months ago he is still be far the best defender at the club so his potential departure will worry those who concede that the club’s defence is already looking a little creaky.
William Gallas and Mikel Silvestre were said to be on their way out at the Emirates but noises to that effect have been very quiet of late so perhaps they will indeed stay as the Toure leaves the club. If this is indeed the case it will be a very sorry state of affairs. The hard working determined battler can lay claim to being one of the bargain of the Premier League era.
Toure to Man City: Would be a sad day indeed but can Wenger stop this from happening?
