This guy could solve a few problems!
TUNCAY SANLI insists he will be playing football in England next season but for the first time has publicly admitted it will not be in a Middlesbrough shirt.
There had been strong suggestions the forward was interested in making a return to his former club Fenerbahce, but he has now declared his determination to make a success of his spell in the Premier League; claiming he is in no hurry to make a return to his homeland.
Liverpool had reportedly been front-runners to secure Tuncay’s signature but while Rafa Benitez’ summer spending has not yet been curbed by financial uncertainties, the likes of Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as more likely destinations.
A fee of around £8m will be required to secure the services of the Turkey skipper.

If there was one player who seems to tick all the right boxes then it could well be this Turkish international. If you factor in that Liverpool dearly need a support striker to avoid over reliance on Fernando Torres as well as the dependence on midfielders to weigh in with ten goals a season then factor in the potential financial problems at the club preventing them from spending big and then add into the mix that Tuncay can also play in an advanced midfield position then in many ways you have a ‘perfect’ signing.
He wants to leave Boro and he has Premier League experience and has shown glimpses of what he is capable even when at a club who has struggled with relegation.
It would be well worth Benitez considering a move for Sanli and perhaps Gareth Southgate could be persuaded to take a player or two in the deal rather than cold hard cash?
Sanli to Liverpool: Rafa is reportedly interested and it could well be a deal worth making!
