The Analysis
Mark Hughes’s pursuit of Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has been as lengthy as it has been blatant. The Welshman has been trying to sign the former Bayern Munich man for a year or so, in fact pretty much since he left Ewood Park!
Sam Allardyce seems resigned to losing the Paraguayan who had such a great first season in the Premier League, but will not lose him until he gets the price he wants for his services and that price appears to be agreed by the two teams and only a medical can prevent the mega bucks Mancunians from signing yet another striker, the good news is, this one is damn good!
For the record, and if anyone is counting, the Eastlands side currently has seven full international strikers!
The Likelihood
Roque Santa Cruz to Man City: Almost certain!
