Front man who lacks playing time could greatly benefit from Championship move.
The Rumour
New Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane reportedly has his sights set on under-utilised Liverpool striker David Ngog.
According to News of the World, the ex Manchester United boss is hoping to convince Rafa Benitez to loan out the 20-year-old, who has barely got a look-in at Anfield since his £1.5 million move from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

The Analysis
Anyone who saw the young Frenchman in action last season would have noted that he is definitely a little rough around the edges but there are signs he can be a good, if not great, striker. A move on loan to Ipswich could well be a good move, the East Anglian side last season took Spurs starlet Giovani on a three month deal that greatly helped the former Barcelona man get some much needed senior level football.
The lanky Liverpool man would probably have played far less had Rafa had more options to bring off the bench but that being said Ngog didn’t disgrace himself and played a part in 19 games, albeit only five starts, and managed three goals.
It’s worth noting of course that the former PSG man barely figured for his Ligue 1 side before Benitez purchased him so he really is a player lacking experience and even as much as a season long loan could do wonders for the lad.
The Likelihood
Ngog to Ipswich: Would be a good move but would be dependent on what other strikers the Liverpool boss brings in.
