Tough but fair Italian linked with Stamford Bridge move.
Gennaro Gattuso’s agent has hinted the Milan and Italy midfielder could be interested in a transfer to Chelsea.
Gattuso’s former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti moved to Stamford Bridge last week, and Andrea D’Amico said the bond between coach and player makes a reunion at Chelsea a possibility.
‘The rapport between Gattuso and Ancelotti is very strong,’ D’Amico said.
‘He was deeply disappointed by the decision to change the boss. Gattuso is very attached to Ancelotti the manager.’
Gattuso spent a season at Scottish champions Rangers early in his career, and D’Amico says that experience means the 31-year-old would have no problem playing in England.
‘Gennaro has the characteristics and the qualities needed to play in the English league,’ he added.

I have always thought of Gennaro Gattuso as very much like the cartoon character Tasmanian Devil, not just in his mannerisms and character but also physically. The former Rangers man is a hard bitten battler who would thrive in the Premier League.
The Italian international has come along way since his teenage days at Ibrox and he has now notched up a decade at the San Siro, during which time he has won the lot and may well be looking for a new challenge.
However it is worth noting that Stamford Bridge already has two midfield bruisers in the shape of Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel but both could still learn a thing or two from the diminutive Gattuso.
Gattuso to Chelsea: Ancelotti would probably love the idea but AC Milan may well prevent such a deal.
