The Gunners are believed to be stepping up their bid to offload Emmanuel Adebayor to either of the Milan clubs, with Bordeaux hitman Marouane Chamakh lined up as his replacement.

25 year old Bordeaux hitman Chamakh has been on the Arsene Wenger radar for some time and news circulating on the red tops and websites is that the net is closing in on the Moroccan International. Emmanuel Adebayor is once again being chased by AC Milan, who saw that fellow Serie A side Roma had taken an interest and as a result have stepped up their bid for the Togolese troublemaker.
Marouane had his best season in the French Ligue One last season since moving to the Stade Delmas as a 16 year old youth player and lead the line up front as Laurent Blanc’s side won their first domestic title in ten years. He has worked well alongside Argentine Fernando Cavenaghi over the past two seasons which has seen them grow into the most feared partnership in the country but it seems that the pair may now be set to split.
Wenger has a habit of bringing in players who are not household names and moulding them into stars and I think Chamakh could well be the next player on the production line.
Chamakh to Arsenal: He seems to have all the makings of a Gunners player.
