Mark Hughes wants to keep spending!
Manchester City will make a formal £15million bid for Everton defender Joleon Lescott inside the next 48 hours.
The Eastlands club will tempt the England centre-back by offering to double his salary with a staggering £80,000-a-week, five-year contract.
Goodison boss David Moyes is desperate to keep his FA Cup final squad together.
But he may be tempted to allow Lescott, 26, to leave if he can first find a suitable replacement.

After securing the big names signings of Roque Santa Cruz and Gareth Barry, OK relatively big name signings, Mark Hughes has set his sights on another of the Premier League most consistent performers in the shape of Joleon Lescott.
David Moyes is sure to try to prevent Man City from hawking one of Everton‘s prized possessions but may at the same time be thankful of the cash injection so this deal could well come to fruition, especially if Lescott chases the cash and says thanks very much to the huge pay rise on offer.
He may also deem a move to Eastlands as a step upwards, even though a quick look at the end of season Premier League table would tell him otherwise. It could be bad move that could backfire if the Blues don’t live up to all the hype and it could theoretically jeopardise his World Cup chances if the club do not hit the highs that their cash flow has.
