The Rumour
CITY are in pursuit of FOUR more signings – but have dismissed outlandish claims which link them with every megastar in the universe.

The Analysis
Man City fans will be glad to see that among the countless attacking targets supposedly set for big money moves to Eastlands are in fact a few defensive targets who are clearly far more pressing priorities for the mega bucks side.
A quick glance at last season’s table shows you that scoring goals hasn’t been Mark Hughes’ problem, his side managed to net 58 times which puts them fifth overall, however they also conceded 50 which is far to many if you realistically want to be challenging for a top six or higher finish.
Kolo Toure and Joleon Lescott are two very impressive defensive characters who could greatly help in this department. Both have a great deal of good Premier League experience and in the Arsenal centre back have arguably one of the most effective defenders in the top tier on his day. However both players are integral to their respective clubs so again big bids will be needed to persuade either side to consider a sale but at least such bids would be a very good use of the club’s seemingly limitless resources!
The Likelihood
Lescott and Toure to Man City: Lescott is the more likely but don’t be surprised if Hughes gets both!
