Apparently the Irishman’s future at White Hart Lane is in doubt…again!
Robbie Keane has emerged as a shock target for Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill.
The Tottenham striker only returned to White Hart Lane in January, six months after completing his dream move to Liverpool.
But People Sport understands Spurs gaffer Harry Redknapp would be willing to offload the Irishman already … if the money is right.
Villa would need to weigh in with an offer in the region of £12million, the price he cost Spurs when they took him back from Liverpool.

By all accounts things have gone wrong for Robbie Keane since his return to White Hart Lane and apparently all is now well between himself and Harry Redknapp and others and therefore Tottenham are said to be looking to offload the Irishman and Sunderland were linked with the striker last week and now it’s Aston Villa‘s turn in the spotlight.
To be honest this whole thing seems very odd to me. First off, why does Redknapp keep buying back Spurs players? So far he has brought back Keane, Jermain Defoe and Pascal Chimbonda and has been linked with bringing back Paul Robinson to boot. Is this some weird money laundering scheme?
Anyway it seems odd that Keane would consider a move to Villa Park and I just don’t see him making such a decision, at least the connection with the Black Cats had some scope due to his connections with Chairman Niall Quinn but perhaps the former Leeds and briefly Liverpool man will patch things up before he is off again!
Keane to Aston Villa: I don’t see this happening at all!
