Lanky front man linked with north London move.
HARRY REDKNAPP will launch a £12million bid for the Spanish Peter Crouch.
The Spurs boss has lined up giant Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente to replace Roman Pavyluchenko.
Llorente stands at 6ft 4in and is seen as the perfect target man by Redknapp as he looks to off-load the Russian flop.
The 24-year-old Llorente has been in outstanding form for Bilbao in La Liga and was part of Spain’s Confederations Cup squad last month.

So the 207th striker linked with a move to White Hart Lane is this Spanish international that for some reason has been likened to Peter Crouch, which seems a bit tenuous at best, after all Crouch is a good deal taller. Llorente has steadily improved over the past few seasons and is now a feared forward helping his Bilbao side to mid table comfort as well as last seasons Copa del Rey final.
He has the physique that could cope with the rough and tumble of the Premier League and presumably Redknapp sees him as a replacement for Roman Pavyluchenko who apparently doesn’t have much in the way of a future at Tottenham, but then of course Harry still has the likes of Defoe and Keane to form his first choice pairing, perhaps he wants a more rangy support man instead of going for those two January returns.
Llorente may feel a move to Spurs could help make him a more household name but at the same time if he fails to breakthrough in England he could risk losing his place in the World Cup squad for South Africa next summer.
