Be afraid, be very afraid!
The Rumour
With Roque Santa Cruz arriving at the City of Manchester Stadium and Carlos Tevez expected to complete his move from Manchester United this week, Spurs believe Bellamy could be surplus to requirements.
Harry Redknapp, the Tottenham manager, is an admirer of the former West Ham striker and tried to sign him in January from Upton Park before Manchester City stepped in.
Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko can both leave White Hart Lane for the right price and so two replacements will be required.
But Spurs would not be alone in considering a move for Bellamy, who missed the end of last season with injury.

The Analysis
We reported on the possibility of this nutcase joining Spurs a couple of weeks ago but we have to admit we couldn’t believe it would come to fruition but it appears that rather than this silly story vanishing it has once again struck the newspapers and if I were a Tottenham fan I would be very worried.
If Harry was to get a scrap of paper and right on one side the pluses of such a signing and then on the other he were to jot down the minuses then surely one column would be about 100 times longer than the other. Let’s see, Bellamy is a troublemaker who generally as a rule falls out with the club, it’s players, it’s staff and it’s fans, and perhaps most importantly, he isn’t exactly the most prolific of attacking options is he! In nine Premier League seasons he has only managed to reach double figures once.
I am not saying he isn’t a decent player but with all the baggage that comes with such a signing he just strikes me as a needless hassle and I am sure most of the White Hart Lane faithful will hope to their chosen deity that this never sees the light of day!
The Likelihood
Bellamy to Spurs: Afraid, all too likely!
