Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez won’t rule out selling Javier Mascherano for the right price.
The Telegraph says sources close to Liverpool believe a £25 million bid from the European champions will be rejected, but Benitez may be tempted to sell should Pep Guardiola return with a £30 million offer.

Now I am not sure how reliable this source is and generally the Daily Telegraph is pretty decent, but could this be true? Who are the ‘sources close to Liverpool‘ because the last I heard was Rafa stating pretty clearly that neither Javier Mascherano or Xabi Alonso were for sale!
Maybe Javier’s agent has persuaded him to move, maybe his missus has moaned about England once to often but either way in today’s market wouldn’t the Argentine captain be worth more than £30m? Clearly if the club feels they are fighting a losing battle with the player then they will want the full whack for the former West Ham man.
