Wenger lines up hot shot replacement for outgoing striker.
The Rumour
Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is interesting Arsenal.
The Daily Mail says Arsenal have watched Huntelaar over the past two years but his performances in Spain have failed to dazzle.
Yet the idea of linking him with international team-mate Robin Van Persie is appealing and reports in Spain and Holland are making Arsenal the new favourites.

The Analysis
Wenger will be looking for an Adebayor replacement and even though the club has other striking options the inclusion of this Dutch goal machine could only be a good thing. The Real Madrid forward seems to have no choice but to seek his fortune elsewhere with Galaticos arriving on a weekly basis and already a huge queue of international strikers in front of him.
The north London club has proven classy strikers in the form of Robin Van Persie and Eduardo and the up and coming talents of Carlos Tevez and the rapidly improving Nicklas Bendtner so the addition of another front man is crucial, especially in the days of the 50-60 game season.
Maraone Chamakh was mentioned as a probable signing to make up for the loss of the Togolese international to Man City, but in many ways Huntelaar is more the finished article and even in his stuttering time at the Bernabeu he has proven he can fit in well at the highest level.
The Likelihood
Huntelaar to Arsenal: The odds of such a move have increased as the Dutchman seems to have opted against a move to the Bundesliga.
