Former Man United Flop could well be about to make a return to England.
Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan is the subject of interest from four major clubs.
AS says Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all battling for the former Manchester United striker.
All four clubs have held talks with Forlan’s agent, Daniel Bolotnikoff, while Atletico continue to insist the player will not leave for less than his £32 million buyout clause.

There are some players who have left Man United and fallen off the face of the earth and others who have gone from strength to strength, Diego Forlan is just such a character. He hasn’t stopped scoring since exchanging Old Trafford for La Liga and now he is a wanted man (in a footballing sense and not in a criminal way).
The 30 year old is at the peak of his powers and now there is a long queue forming for his services so does he stick it out at Atletico or seek a move to one of the Spanish giants or move back to the Premier League to show just what he is capable of?
The Uruguayan has struck an incredible 102 goals in five seasons in Spain so may well consider a move to Real or Barca an easier move but he must be tempted to move back to England to make up for that horror spell he had at Old Trafford.
The asking price could be seen as a bit steep given the player’s age but given the form he showed last season, when he scored the most goals in the Spanish league, it may well be a price worth paying. If his Atletico side fail to make it through the qualifying stages of the Champions League then this move becomes a whole lot more likely.
Forlan to Chelsea: Could well happen.
