Highly unlikely!
The Rumour
Arsene Wenger will launch a cut-price £7million bid for Obafemi Martins.
The ARSENAL boss hopes to take advantage of the turmoil at Newcastle by using some of his funds from the sale of Emmanuel Adebayor to nab Martins on the cheap.
Toon owner Mike Ashley could be tempted to cash in on Martins, 24, who has been on Wenger’sradar since before his move from Inter Milan in 2006.

The Analysis
For some time now Obafemi Martins has been linked with a move to the Emirates and I really don’t know why. The Nigerian isn’t a bad player, he’s an okay player at best who scores goals in spells and is very much a confidence player who hasn’t really hit the heights at St James’ Park and not in the same league as the strikers currently at Arsenal.
No doubt his agent is desperate to get his client away from the Championship side but if he thinks that Martins will be snapped up by the Gunners he is sadly mistaken. Wenger may be keen to replace Emmanuel Adebayor but I can’t see for one second that the former Inter Milan man of indeterminate age being that player.
The Likelihood
Martins to Arsenal: Nope!
