Liverpool Ready for £30m Inter Milan Mega Bid!
by Steven Constable on July 20th, 2009 203 words | 42 commentsIs ‘The Special One’ planning a cheeky bid?
The Rumour
Barcelona-based newspaper Sport says Alonso will finally join Real Madrid next week in a £30million deal, with officials said to be in England to tie up the deal. However, late interest from Inter Milan in the Spain international could make the deal more difficult.
The Source: (Daily Mail)
The Analysis
So just when it appeared the whole Xabi Alonso affair had been put to bed there now appears to be another interested party, namely Jose Mourinho!
The Spanish international has gone on Liverpool’s far east tour and Real Madrid were seemingly unwilling to up their bid for Alonso and the player himself has tried to distance himself from such a move stating that he is ready to fight for the Anfield cause, but where will this latest piece of news lead?
I am sure that this is nothing more than either paper talk or a sneaky little trick by the Inter Milan boss who may well be just trying out a sneaky bid for the midfield maestro.
The Likelihood
Alonso to Inter Milan: A move to Italy won’t happen and a move to Spain seems almost dead and buried!

keep him if we can
but if he realy wants to go then accept this offer and hopefuly mardrid will bid 35mill
Paddy - July 20th, 2009 at 12:44 pm
Real Madrid for 32 Million or nothing!
saif nabi - July 20th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
they should offer 35mill + and 1 or 2 players as well hopefilly we get a replacement for him in the deal and then we would be able to spend the money on a winger and attacker
Anonymous - July 20th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
will this be the money for robiniho
imran - July 20th, 2009 at 12:57 pm
i think if this test real madrid’s pricing then it’s good
real to think to pay 30 million plus if they want alonso
pete - July 20th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
heard robinho too but it wont happen alonso will stay
Ash T - July 20th, 2009 at 1:03 pm
well either way we win
alonso said that he doesnt mind staying at liverpol or if he goes
so either way we win
if he stays then the only position we need to strenghen is the left wing and striker cover
but if he goes then we will get his replacement and hopefuly left wing and striker cover
red - July 20th, 2009 at 1:07 pm
ash t do u just agree with what most ppl say last post u said get rid of him
he is only good for passing, now ur saying keep him??????????????
do u know anything about football????? RETARD
hot head - July 20th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
me a get tire of these fucked up situation now, just sell him no spearing might not have the long passes like him but other than that any one can do the job Alonso does and at times spearing look so comfortable in the midfield even like he is a better short passer than Alonso. So i say sell him but Silva and Taiwo and try to get negrado.
lfc eire - July 20th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
red, i was just thinking the exact same thing .anybody who says let him go is a retard
red - July 20th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
why would we want to let world class players go?????
and the dicks on this site keep saying different things one minute they
say they want him next minute they dont
they dont have a clue
they just go with whatever their bumchums go with
Big G - July 20th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
To be honest Alonso wants to go he just doesn’t want to piss us Liverpool supporters off by saying it! In all honesty i think he will be gone this week for something like 22m plus Sniejder or Negrado or 32m cash up front!! I hope he stays but i just cant see it happening unfortunatley!
Ash T - July 20th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
to be honest i dont realy care any more
this transfer as gone on far to long and its annoying me
he stays we keep our spin he goes and we buy a player who is younger and will add some thing different to our team
SHHHHHHH - July 20th, 2009 at 1:27 pm
red you should have seen what ash t said the other day he said alonso was shit now he says keep him am sure hes got a split personality
Big G - July 20th, 2009 at 1:28 pm
Whats all this with Robinho?? I saw some rumours but there isn’t anything going around the city about it!?!?! I think its bullshit!! Also we wouldn’t pay his £160,000 a week wages!
saif nabi - July 20th, 2009 at 1:31 pm
no one who isn’t a retard would want him to go but you have to think of possible replacements for him. because theres a chance he might go hopfilly we doun’t need to sprnd money on a replacement for him. and maybe this bid becomes a bidding battle between inter and real so then at the end of the day we get a real good deal for him i’m not saying something like 80 mill if it’s in the region of 40mill to 60 mill and a player or 2 i’m happy but if he stays it is also good for the squad so it’s a win, win situation at the end of the day i think every liverpool fan is going to be happy of what price rafa agrees to sell him at. liverpool need signings like torres and kuyt some more signings like that and the title is surly ours alsoi think raf should sign some talented yongsters like doglas costa
SHHHHHHH - July 20th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
saif i bet you never seen costa play its just full of kids on here wo hear a young players name mentioned and then come on here and spout it go and play footy manager son
Ash T - July 20th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
i never said he was shit i just said that he basicaly as nothing else to his game
hes slow
hes not that good at tackles
doesnt score goals
but yes he is a good player else he wouldnt be at liverpool
saif nabi - July 20th, 2009 at 1:48 pm
mother fucker i’m 25 how old are you so if theres eny one who should play football maneger it’s you
redryan - July 20th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
It was actualy in a debate with me that ash t made various fleeting statements yesterday and yes some of them contradictory but to my knowledge he said the only thing that is great about Alonso’s game is his passing. That doesn’t mean he’s shit it just means his passing is his best attribute.
We discussed the merits of his game and I believe he was talked around to a different way of thinking. It happens to many people. He was enlightened rather than just changing his mind.
I would also like to remind you that he’s a liverpool fan like the rest of us and irregardless of his view he doesn’t deserve retard shouts. Not when people like saif think we’ll get 60 million plus a couple of players.
Please boys by all means disagree but save the retard jibes for the idiotic mancunians or the new age Chelski glory hunters.
Ash T - July 20th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
thank you redryan
redryan - July 20th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
I know it’s not easy saif but please think before you type.
just run it through your head once and if it still sounds like intelligent input right it down on a piece of paper and put it in your pocket. Do not, I repeat Do not, open yourself up to abuse by being big headed and mores to the point arrogant.
25 and you still can’t add up?
Real are bickering with us over a 30 million price tag and you suggest they pay us 60 million plus two players?
Did you go to the same business school as gordon fucking brown?
SHHHHHHH - July 20th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
red ryan do us all a favour by all means leave a post coz you do seem to talk a bit of sense but give all the silly statements and big words a miss your impressing no one its a footy site not a fucking political debate
redryan - July 20th, 2009 at 2:13 pm
Oh and saif I suggest we all play football manager it’s a great game.
one thing though people, when you put the pad down, also put down you’re silly belief that you’re the best and most insightful manager in the world.
Oh and by the way I’m thirty if we’re having a competition on who is the oldest.
I hope I don’t fucking win to be honest.

SHHHHHH for your benefit this one.
i tink carra is ded gud and dat stevie g is gonna be the bestest next season if we can just sign messi for a tenner.
Is that the kind of thing you’re after?
I prefer to type things out properly because people like to attack you on this site. if you’re ideas are good then surely how you write them down shouldn’t be an issue. I can’t believe you’re having a go at me for making myself clear and legible whilst at the same time telling me my point is worth a look in.
SHHHHHHH please mate stop picking on me yeah!!!!
Otherwise I’ll pull your pants down and show all the big boys what you havn’t got yet, you dig soldier?
SHHHHHHH - July 20th, 2009 at 2:38 pm

redryan - July 20th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
It means do you understand big G.
red - July 20th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
its good too listen to fans comments but for them to change their opinion
on the same matter daily is stupid
ok change ur opinion but not everytime u come on
its nearly as bad as this site with same stories
kop4life - July 20th, 2009 at 2:54 pm
Xabi knows he’s adored by the Kop and until I hear him say he wants to leave, I won’t believe he wants to. Besides, seeing as the Scum have to reinvent themselves (Valencia WILL NOT BE THE NEXT RONALDO) next season, we need to amplify rather than adjust our brand of gameplay, which Rafa has developed over a period of half a decade. That’s why Rafa will not do business on Alonso unless he’s forced. And from what I’m reading, the man who could attempt that has expressly ruled out the possibility of handing in a transfer request. Rest your laurels all you nervy Kop.
Moving on to Silva now, or even Villa, since Barca seem to have shifted their focus.
redryan - July 20th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
RED!
I understand what you mean by peoples opinion changing daily but in order to agree with you I would have to change my opinion. Catch 22 brother!!
Dom - July 20th, 2009 at 3:06 pm
kop4life.
Alonso has basically said he wants to play for madrid but doesnt want to force rafa into selling him
kop4life - July 20th, 2009 at 3:28 pm
Your quite right Dom. But you see, all Spaniards, no strike that, all people with a hint of Latino/Hispanic breeding desire Madrid in a way Anglophones can never understand. It’s like a footballing Mecca for them. Something that earns you untold reverence.
So treasure any Spaniard who won’t put you at gun to your face to force an exit when Madrid come calling. And all I was saying is that Rafa knows and understands this, he is a Spaniard after all.
Big G - July 20th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
Thanks Redryan i was stumped with that one!! ha ha!
JamieB - July 20th, 2009 at 4:34 pm
If We Sell Alonso To Inter 20Mil Plus Quaresma And It Would Be A Done Deal If Not 32Mil Upfront From Madrid
Dom - July 20th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
Erm… how about no?
Sell him to Real, and get Sneijder as part of the deal.
Dom - July 20th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
The same Queresma that was loaned to Chelsea and spent the rest of the season playing for the reserves?
matty - July 20th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
rather them than madrid
