Over achieving defender linked with a host of Premier League clubs
The Rumour
Everton head the queue for Hull City defender Michael Turner.
The Sun says Everton are leading the £8million chase for Hull defender Turner.
Boss David Moyes fears losing Joleon Lescott to mega-bucks rivals Manchester City.
But Liverpool and Portsmouth also want Turner, 26.

The Analysis
This isn’t the first time Rafa has been linked with the big Hull City centre back who impressed many with his no nonsense displays for the first half of the Tigers up and down season last term. Phil Brown isn’t keen on losing the former Brentford man and you can understand why as the defender proved a fulcrum for the early success before the much anticipated collapse.
Liverpool don’t urgently need any central defender purchases but there are some questions about Daniel Agger’s repeated little niggles and of course Sammi Hyppia has left the club so back up may be needed but I don’t see the club forking out such a fee for the 26 year old.
It seems more likely that the likes of Everton and Portsmouth will do battle for the Englishman as both could find themselves without key centre backs come the beginning of the season.
The Likelihood
Turner to Liverpool: Not the kind of player I would associate with a move to Anfield.
