Arsenal to Make £17m Bid For Roma Striker Vucinic

The Rumour
ARSENAL want Roma’s Mirko Vucinic to replace Emmanuel Adebayor.
Talks are under way for £17million rated Vucinic, following the £25m sale of Adebayor to Manchester City.
The Montenegro star, 25, has insisted he is happy in Rome, despite also being linked with Manchester United and Tottenham.
He is under contract for another four years, but Roma are reluctantly prepared to sell.
They aren’t in a position to make any signings themselves unless they make a significant sale.

The Analysis
Various sources claim that Arsene Wenger is extra keen to spend the money made back from offloading troublemaker Emmanuel Adebayor quickly, but most people know that isn’t really the Arsenal boss’s style. Far more likely he will think about such acquisitions thoughtfully and is more than likely not going to break the bank in a hurry.
Klaas Jan Huntelaar was a player recently strongly linked with a move to the Emirates and he would be a signing that would certainly appease most of the Gunners faithful would Vucinic do likewise?
The well build Montenegrin is pretty good on the floor but is primarily a danger in the air and putting it about a bit when battling defenders, in many ways he would suit the Premier League down to a tee but does he suit the Wenger way, I am not so sure.
The Likelihood
Vucinic to Arsenal: I don’t see it happening myself.

Lincoln burrows – yet again, get a life no one cares your first to say “first” on a football forum.
Arsenal are not going to make a bid and even if they were interested they would never pay 17m.
Not in this window anyways. Wenger knows that he needs to spend the bulk of Wanker-buyors transfer money on a central mid.

wenger cant say he doesnt have money his got over 40 mill to his disposal after sell ade give-me more -money and toure going for 16 mill surely he can get a gud defender and denfensive midfielder and change arsenals formation that can allow arshavin to play behind a striker his more lethal there and can bag more goals for arsenal in that position arshavin is not quick enough on the wing

I wud say these are tough times for arsenal… wenger must realize that come wat may we must not let kolo leave…atleast not to man city for christ’s sake…
The money’s sure important but selling toure would be the end of arsenal’s challange to the top 4….(forget winning the premiership)
Now we have 3 options….
1st: we sell senderos n use the money to sponsor a bid for hangelaand… silvestre can be swapped for chamakh (bordeux r huntin for silvestre ny which ways), then we can get maybe get yaya toure for most of the money from the adebayor transfer…
2nd: Go all out n get huntelaar, sell senderos n silvestre (collectively around 10-12 million) get blaise mataudi for cheap n buy hangelaand for 10 million…
3rd: Buy huntelaar, buy blaise mataudi n sell no 1 (maybe let senderos go cuz he’s a donkey n he doesnt want to stay)
these r t only options left wit wenger…
he shudnt get cowed into makin a deal with hughes… if man city persist we should make sure tat they’ve paid atleast 50% more than t current market value for toure… wenger shouldnt settle for nythin less than 30 million…
cuz wats t point in selling toure for 15 million n use t entire amount in finding a replacement??? we’d be better off not selling him altogether….savin ourselves most of the trouble…
