I don’t think so!
Emirates chief Arsene Wenger will then use the cash to pursue Fulham’s Brede Hangeland, viewing the Norway star as a direct replacement for Toure.
The Cottagers are determined not to let their prized asset leave on the cheap and will demand all of the Toure money before they even consider selling him. (Daily Mirror)
Sometimes rumours can be created entirely off the back of another rumour that has yet to become a reality leaving many scratching their heads in confusion. Here the Daily Mirror has surmised that we will lose Kolo Toure and have already made plans to spend the money from said sale, but I am not to sure.
It does look worryingly likely that we will lose Kolo, which is a shame but I would like to think that Arsene Wenger has done all he can to stop him leaving but the club must move on. Would a move for giant Fulham defender Brede Hangeland by a good one, I don’t think so.
Sure, he manages to do all the basic things easily enough and is a no nonsense customer but that is the kind of level of ability I would expect from any Premier League level centre back, including Michael Dawson, so not sure the Norwegian is in fact all that impressive.
Also the asking price is absurd, maybe Roy Hodgson’s plan is to ask for an unreasonable amount for the 28 year old in the hopes that he will not leave the club, if that is his plan then I would suggest it should work wonderfully!
