Take the money and run!
Is It this way to the exit?
Emmanuel Eboue is expected to continue the Arsenal exodus this week by signing a five-year deal with Fiorentina.
The Gunners have given the 26-year-old permission to speak to the Italian Serie A side and are looking for £9million.
The Ivory Coast star, who can play in either defence or midfield, has struggled to gain a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s first team. And last season he was barracked by Gunners fans frustrated at his poor performances. (Daily Mirror)
Where do we sign? This almost seems to good to be true, if we can get £9m for Eboue and do so without breaking some sign of trading practices guideline then I say to Arsene Wenger “Do it!”.
I wasn’t one of the fans who gave the Ivorian a shed load of abuse during stages of last season but I totally understood what they were so angry about. The utility player basically wandered around the pitch aimlessly and had an attitude that quite frankly stunk, but to be fair to the lad he seemed to turn over a new leaf and even improved his game but still looks nowhere near good enough to warrant a place in the starting eleven and therefore a fee of this magnitude seems well worth taking.
