No, not that one!
Chelsea are eyeing Porto star Hulk.
The Daily Mail says Porto striker Hulk has been linked with a move to Chelsea. The 23-year-old Brazilian hot-shot has a £33m release clause.
Brazilian sources say Porto are aware of growing interest in the centre-forward and are keen to discuss a new contract with the player. (Daily Mail)
Whilst Chelsea could well do with a spare striker the probably don’t need to bid crazily for one and if they were to entertain the notion of paying anything near the Porto player’s release clause then they would need their collective heads examined.
I was impressed with Hulk’s performances at the Portuguese club last season, especially when he was in Champions League action, but given Carlo Ancelotti has Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba to call on as his first choice strike pairing and with the likes of Andriy Shevchenko and impressive youngster Daniel Sturridge on the bench it seems like this deal may only exist in the mind of the Brazilian’s agent!
