Ones to watch 2009/10: Aston Villa Starlet Fabian Delph
by Oscar Chamberlain on August 10th, 2009 198 words | 2 commentsDays away from a new Premier League season and reporter Oscar Chamberlain takes a closer look at the up and coming stars ready to make their mark this term.

Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)
The young Englishman is still only 19 but seems to have been linked with a big money move to the premiership everyday for the past two years. He finally got that move last week when he joined Aston Villa on a long term contract, the fee is believed to be in the region of £8 million. However new manager Martin O’Neil has already played down reports he paid over the odds. The villa manager has insisted that Delph will become a fantastic player and play a crucial role at villa for many years to come. The only thing that stands in the way of this brilliant talent is the pressure that comes with the huge expectation on his shoulders. Chances will be there as Villa’s midfield is by no means perfect, with Stewart Downing out till Christmas and Ashley Young’s future at the club still in doubt he may get his chance to shine sooner rather than later.
