White Hart Lane boss sets his sights on Impressive Scottish midfielder.
Harry Redknapp wants to take Celtic midfielder Scott Brown to Tottenham in a £7million deal.
The Spurs gaffer is readying himself for three lively weeks before the transfer window closes.
And Scotland star Brown is high on his list of targets, along with Toulouse ace Moussa Sissoko and Chelsea’s Joe Cole – as revealed by Hotline last week.
Brown, 24, was voted Player of the Year by his fellow professionals in Scotland.
We understand the move would interest the player, and the fact that he would cost substantially less than France Under-21 Sissoko will see Redknapp make his move. (The People)
So it seems that Harry is leaving his transfer dealings to the last minute and whilst the reported interest in Joe Cole may be a little farfetched and fantastical a move for Celtic’s impressive midfielder would be a far more likely capture.
The 24 year old has become a firm favourite at the club and won the SPFA Player of the Year award last season and Tony Mowbray will want to keep the former Hibernian man at the club but should the Glasgow club fail to get past Arsenal in their Champions League play-off then Tottenham may well have a good chance of persuading the Scottish international that a move down south would be a good one.
