Here we go again!
A power struggle at the Nou Camp has intensified Barcelona’s attempts to sign Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
Pep Guardiola, the boss of the European champions, has made Fabregas his No 1 transfer target, but a £40million price-tag is at least £10m more than they want to pay.
However, president Joan Laporta is aware that the man who wants his job will pledge to take Fabregas as part of his election bid next summer.
Sandro Rosell quit as Laporta’s vice-president four years ago and has since been outspoken in his criticism of the club’s hierarchy.

So it appears that Barcelona‘s need to capture Cesc is more than just a desire to keep up with big spending Real Madrid, well that’s just tough.
It doesn’t surprise me that the club is already reporting that they will try even harder to sign Fabregas next summer it is a tried and tested Presidential trick where incoming candidates say they will sign such and such if elected so I wouldn’t pay much heed to it.
