In order to prove that their talents extend beyond controversial autobiographies, self defence and having haircuts like Brüno, some of Liverpool FC’s stars will this year hold a Masterchef-style cook off.

Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres will hit the kitchens at Carragher’s Cafe Sports restauarant (”Where healthy eating is the name of the game“) and grumpy celebrity chef Marco Pierre White will preside over the final in October. (The Spoiler)

This should be interesting, given that it’s Jamie C’s restaurant I would imagine he is the early favourite to create the best dish but given El Nino’s Spanish roots maybe he would be a good bet and I don’t see Stevie G being much of an expert in the kitchen. I wonder if Betfair will be running a book on this one?
