With the Premier League about to spark into life this weekend, reporter Adam Hennessey casts his eye over the players he feels will have an impact this coming season, but players who readers may not know much about.

VC Fusion v Burnley

Burnley may be everybodies tip to go straight back down to the Championship, but under the astute Owen Coyle, they managed to get to the semi-finals of the Carling Cup, eliminating the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea on the way, and its down to their shrewd manager, that they have managed to tempt highly-rated Scottish full back Brian Easton, to the Premiership, from SPL side, Hamilton.

Easton is comfortable at left back, or centre half, and racked up 102 games for Hamilton, at the age of 21. Although not one of the elite leagues in world football, Easton stood out in the SPL and established himself as one of the better defenders in the division, which saw him appear for Scotland’s B side in May 2009. His move to Burnley will allow him to tackle some of the best players in world football, aswell as stake a claim for a regular spot in the full Scotland side, and under Owen Coyle, he can only progress, and help Burnley achieve the unthinkable.
