David Moyes gets Lescott replacement ready just in case!
EVERTON last night launched an £8m bid to sign Newcastle defender Steven Taylor – and that could clear the way for Joleon Lescott to join Manchester City.

Joleon Lescott is trying all he can to get himself a move to Man City and much to Everton‘s credit they are doing all they can to prevent it from happening but in the long run it may be worth cashing on the England international to avoid being stuck with an unhappy player, and at least this way they will probably get a nice cash injection and if they can replace Lescott with Steven Taylor and still have a nice £10m+ in the kitty then they will have done very well out it.
The Newcastle United centre back will not want to leave St James’ Park but may feel that the club is not going anywhere fast with Mike Ashley still at the tiller and whilst he would want to stay loyal to the north-east side he may also realise that he has his own career to think about and a move back to the Premier League could result in a call up to the full England set-up and with the World Cup on the horizon such a move could be very tempting indeed.
