Moyes may be best off cashing in on his disloyal defender.
MARK HUGHES is set to make a renewed cash-plus-players offer to finally seal the £20million signing of Joleon Lescott.
The Manchester City boss continued his spat with Everton chief David Moyes over the defender.
And despite Moyes insisting Lescott is going nowhere, Hughes said: “We’re trying to improve our club.
“If the transfer situation runs its course, then we will move away from it.
“We still feel there is a little bit to go in terms of what we can offer Everton.”
It is thought winger Martin Petrov could be offered as part of the deal, although defender Richard Dunne may also be a makeweight. (The Sun)
David Moyes’ Anger over the way Man City have conducted themselves during their prolonged mission to unsettle Joleon Lescott is well justified and given Everton‘s defensive failings on Saturday it could be that its been an destabilising effect for the whole back line and it may mean that the club decides to give in and sell the England international.
I respect the way Moyes has handled himself during this whole affair but if the club can get a decent chunk of change and also a creative talent like Martin Petrov then they should take the money and run.
