Some good news for the Toon Army faithful!
SOL CAMPBELL will take a 50 per cent pay cut to join Newcastle.

This could be a deal that suits everyone down to the ground. Sol Campbell still feels he has something to offer and to be honest I am surprised that a Premier League club didn’t come in with an offer. Newcastle United could do with a leader or two to help them through this bad period and he can definitely solidify the defence now that Habib Beye and Sebastien Bassong have left the club.
There had been rumours that Campbell was considering joining Sven Goran Ericsson at Notts County but it appears he is about to join the other set of Magpies instead. However the move has left many wondering if Steven Taylor is set to join Everton, and that will not be good news!
