Let’s get this train back on track!
Liverpool’s Jamie Carragher should start despite needing stitches after a clash of heads with team-mate Martin Skrtel at Tottenham.
With Daniel Agger three weeks away from a return, Rafael Benitez will make a late decision on Skrtel, with youngster Daniel Ayala an alternative.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis has no new fresh injury concerns after the opening-day win against Burnley.
Mamady Sidibe remains on the sidelines as he recovers from a knee injury.
Suspended: None Doubtful: Skrtel (facial injury)
Injured: Agger (back), Aquilani (ankle), Aurelio (knee), El Zhar (knee), Riera (ankle)
Suspended: None Doubtful: None Injured: Sidibe (knee) (BBC Sport)
Well we failed to beat Stoke City last season with two performances leading to two goalless draws, lets hope we have our scoring boots on tonight! Defensively we may have problems in terms of centre backs, with Agger still out and Skrtel perhaps being fit to play, in my view we should leave the Martin out rather than aggravate his condition. If Ayala is going to have to be thrown in at the deep end then at home to Tony Pulis’s men is as good a time as any.
Prediction: 3-0 to Liverpool. I fancy Rafa to have said a few words after the Tottenham debacle and hopefully they will come out fighting!
