Joleon Lescott’s disenchantment with current club Everton appears to have been accelerated in recent days as Sky Sports News have reported that the defender has been training away from the rest of David Moyes’ squad.
Lescott has been one of the focal points of conversation following the 6-1 drubbing Everton received when they played Arsenal on the opening day of the season. Despite his team-mates’ inability to track markers, pundits picked up on Lescott’s body language, and suggested that he showed signs of possessing a negative mindset.
According to reports, Lescott had asked Moyes to not be included in the team that faced the Gunners, but due to an injury crisis, the Scot’s hand was forced, and Lescott’s inclusion was ordered. (Goal.com)
If this is indeed true, and it’s all over the news at the moment, then I fear David Moyes attempts to stop Man City from bullying Everton into selling Joleon Lescott are set to be in vain.
Moyes has correctly labelled the Eastlands outfit’s attempts to unsettle the England defender as disgusting but on the plus side once this is all done and dusted the club may be more likely to put it’s mind to avoiding displays similar to the disastrous one against Arsenal last weekend.
