Liverpool Want to Sign Complete Nobody, Claims Complete Nobody

Hibernian defender Souleymane Bamba claims Liverpool are monitoring his progress in the SPL, along with French duo Lorient and Grenoble.
Rafael Benitez has already aquired the services of full back Glen Johnson, while Greek defender Sotiris Kyrgiakos has recently just put pen to paper on a 2 year contract, arriving from Greek club AEK Athens. However with injuries to Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel, aswell as the departures of Alvaro Arbeloa and Sami Hypia, Rafa has been left short of cover in the defensive area.
Throughout the summer many defenders have been linked with Anfield to help fill the void and Ivorian International Souleymane Bamba is the latest name to be mentioned. Bamba has previously played for PSG aswell as Dunfermline before joining his current club Hibernian in 2008 where he has established himself as a key member in John Hughes’ side.
If Rafa does opt to move for the 24 year old Ivorian is still remain to be seen as at this monent in time no firm offer has come to fruition. (Vital Football)
This is a good tactic. Claim you are wanted by a big club and you never know, you may just get lucky. Not sure Rafa has even heard of this Hibernian centre back, who may well be capped by the Ivory Coast, but who is unlikely to be a target any time soon.
After all Daniel Ayala is coming on nicely and we just bought Sotirios Kyrgiakos so not sure we need anyone else in defence. Good effort though Mr. Bamba.

1st WTF???
anonymous - August 22nd, 2009 at 9:27 pm
Might be worth a punt, afterall Carragher is creaking (1 more season max), & Agger / Skrtel are overated, they would struggle in the Championship. Sol Campbell would be a great signing, bag’s of experience and it would allow Rafa to bench Carragher as back-up. It would have been great if Rafa had taken the money for Mascherano…..he obviously did’nt know that Carsley & Graversen are available on free’s.
THE BIG I AM - August 22nd, 2009 at 9:56 pm
well were no longer short of cover in the back we lost 2 defenders and signed two defenders of the same possitions soooo. . . . .. bullshit story

I still believe and hope, that Rafa is gonna sign 1 more new quality player, at least, who is either a support striker and also a winger.
That will happen before the transfer window’s close, hopefully, or in January at the latest! *fingers crossed*

Apparently Benitez is going for Hasan Sas on a free transfer.
anonymous - August 23rd, 2009 at 3:21 am
we need a w class lb and striker and maybe even a cb
jebote - August 23rd, 2009 at 3:45 am
we have future world class left back in emiliano insua, and when aurelio returns he will only strenghten the team. i think defensively we are good. id prefer to see ngog, nemeth & babel used as cover for torres. the most important thing for us to do at the moment i believe is to strengthen the wide areas. we’ve been linked with so many so far i.e van der vaart, de federico, lavezzi, silva, elm. personally any one of these would do, although i think realistically van der vaart is the best option.
desertfox - August 23rd, 2009 at 6:58 am
stop wastring our money on defence buy a striker we seriously need
Liverpool FC Danny - August 23rd, 2009 at 9:37 am

Anonymous, if you’re going to leave racist remarks, then have the balls to register on this site, you spineless little prick. Anyhoo, Hasan Sas is too old. I’d be gutted if Chelsea buy Sergio Aguero, for 2 reasons: the first being that he could win them the Premiership, and secondly, I think he’d be our top transfer target next season.
saif - August 23rd, 2009 at 6:30 pm
yeah i herd that him and silva want to run there contract outs and then join liverpool on free’s
anonymous - August 23rd, 2009 at 6:47 pm
If there running there contracts out then it will be 5 years before we get villa as he only signed a new one last year ! So be real …. Everyone is saying we have NO money… am starting to believe them otherwise i think he would have gone for Aguero, Secondly Chelsea wont sign him as he is NOW cup tied for the champs league. so he could be our main transfer target next season or we end up some people we have never heard of as usuall !
saif - August 23rd, 2009 at 6:49 pm
who said villa i ment silva and aguero
anonymous - August 23rd, 2009 at 7:02 pm
Silva is on a 5 year contract as well. He signed it last year just like Villa so tough luck with that!

anonymous - August 23rd, 2009 at 11:15 pm
Unfortunately, (i’d love to see Silva wearing red too) we have probably now made all our purchases in Johnson (who has alreay proved his ability and potential), Aquilani (who i’m certain will be world class) and Kyrgiakos (Who will see us through our current injury crisis and add experienced depth to the bench). To expect more in this current ecconomic climate is perhaps asking too much. Forget the false promises of £20 million + player sales transfer chests, regardless of summer sales, we at LFC have so far spent, more than many of our competitors, (well those that don’t have billionaire sugar daddies to fund our title dreams). Losing Alonso was a blow, but lets hope when fit, Aquilani will add the dimension that will finally deliver the premiership title to our club, team and its fans. Have faith, in RAFA if not with the owners.
anonymous - August 23rd, 2009 at 11:27 pm
Rafa’s cracking up! Simple!!!!!!!!!
anonymous - August 24th, 2009 at 1:13 am
Maybe Rafa should look into proven Premier League, the likes of Sol Campbell and or Lucas Neill both are out of contract and worth a punt. They are free and both good enough to play in the EPL. Neill snubbed Liverpool for West Ham previously however he has established himself as a strong defender and can play either on the right or as a central defender. Sol is a good central defender and would probably jump at the chance to play in a class team like Liverpool, even thought he may be a little older is worth a possible 12 month contract.
anonymous - August 24th, 2009 at 4:16 am
tbh none of these “dream” signings are going to happen in till the yanks are out, and as for the players we’ve signed this season, glen johnson is outstanding, aquilainis good but injured (so lucas is good cover and will provide good competition now alonsos gone, laugh all u want, lucas is going to be amazing) who have man u signed, Owen haha what a jokee, Valencias decent but will never replace ronaldo lets be fair, chelsea have signed a few decent players but havent made there team stronger, same for arsenal, so the only teams with stronger squads than last season that have a realistic chance of the title are liverpool, tottenham and man city

Ths iz funy, evry season you think u have sum sort of chance 2get in,liverpool haz a lot of weakness mate, yes u rompd man u in the back but before and afta tht u showd u cant fyt 4points like man u did,no back up plan to gerard and tores
anonymous - August 24th, 2009 at 10:29 am
liverpool are very well covered up defensively ; the only addition i would suggest is royston drenthe from real madrid and obviously get rid of dossena if any team wants him ?! also kyriagkos… wasn’t needed would have gone for steven taylor from newcastle, besides kelly and ayala doing fine and was good for them to get some more first team experience.
liverpool need an attacking midfielder or a striker to partner torres and move back the best midfielder in the world, GERRARD, to central midfield.
aquilani biggest mistake ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anonymous - August 24th, 2009 at 10:30 am
thats wierd i seem to recall wooping man u without either gerrard or torres?????? somthing to think about in Manchester
anonymous - August 24th, 2009 at 10:33 am
