Battle of Britain Part II

Arsenal will be without captain Cesc Fabregas through injury for Wednesday’s Champions League second-leg clash with Celtic at Emirates Stadium.
Tomas Rosicky, Theo Walcott, Lukasz Fabianski, Samir Nasri and Johan Djourou are also all still missing.

Celtic midfielder Landry N’Guemo is suspended after picking up a booking in Arsenal’s 2-0 first-leg victory.
Stephen McManus and Barry Robson are back in full training but did not travel, while Mark Wilson is still out.

Arsenal (from): Almunia, Sagna, Vermaelen, Gallas, Clichy, Song, Ramsey, Denilson, Diaby, Bendtner, Eduardo, Mannone, Van Persie, Eboue, Arshavin, Wilshere, Gibbs, Silvestre, Merida.

Celtic (from): Boruc, Hinkel, Caldwell, Loovens, Daniel Fox, McCourt, Scott Brown, Donati, McDonald, Maloney, McGeady, Samaras, Fortune, Zaluska, Naylor, Flood, O’Dea, Caddis. (BBC Sport)

Clearly it would take something of a shock performance for the Scottish side to come back from the dead to trouble us at the Emirates, but we shouldn’t be complacent. The loss of Cesc, hopefully he will battle back for the weekend’s big game, could pose a problem but may help Aaron Ramsey to continue his progression into a fine talented player that we all know he can be.

No doubt Celtic will come at us with the kitchen sink early on but that should suit our counter attacking style nicely.

My Prediction: 2-0 to Arsenal.
