Tottenham and West Ham Both Want £9m Quaresma: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid
by Mr Neutral on August 26th, 2009 274 words | 22 commentsThis guy has been the subject of more transfer rumours than surely any other professional footballer!
Former Chelsea loanee Ricardo Quaresma is apparently keen to make a Premier League comeback, with West Ham and Tottenham reportedly in the running to snap up the Portuguese star, according to Italian daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport. (Daily Mail)
I am sure that some Spurs fans have nightmares about Ricardo Quaresma with the seriously overrated Portuguese international being linked with the club heavily on many occasions, only for any deal to fall through. No doubt this deal will evaporate in a similar manner and surely White Hart Lane fans will be pleased if they did indeed vanish.
The 25 year old was linked with a whole host of clubs whilst nearing the end of his time at Porto and in the end he moved to Inter Milan where his career seemingly nosedived as he struggled to get a look in, he then found himself on loan at Stamford Bridge where he appeared to do very little and now it seems Jose Mourinho is bored of his presence.
West Ham are also sniffing around the winger but not sure where they will find the cash to make a suitable offer as the Serie A side look to recoup at least some of the £16m they invested in Ricardo just a year ago.
I sincerely doubt Harry Redknapp will consider such a move and my money is on Quaresma ending up in Turkey or back in Portugal as it seems very unlikely a top tier club in Italy Spain or England would take such a risk.

I know there’s less than a week to go before the transfer window closes but it’s about time we learned not to react to what can only be described as complete media fabrication.
Not to mention the fact that we’ve got to give ‘Arry more credit for not trying to sign donkeys.

west ham dont need a winger…. they have some very talented yougsters comin through in that position.. if he were a forward / striker that would be different altoether because nearly every striker in europe has been linked with a move to upton park it seems to me this summer

quaresma has the talent, he just never shows it…he has tricks, pace and a great cross. but people need to see these things regularly
with the right manager he could be class, he has the potential

when liverpool played porto who then had quaresma he was class. i think with a good run of games he could be very good. and for this money he could at least be a bench warmer. admittedly better than half the benchwarmers we currently have here at merseyside

I think quaresma is one of the best football players in the world…he has the ability to kick with both legs, he has the stamina and his famous trivela…and also he has the look

All Quaresma needs is time to adjust and a patient manager. He could be better than Cristiano Ronaldo. Many people just dont see the real side of Quaresma..He is Class.
