Tottenham Sell £2.5m Chimbonda to Blackburn Rovers

TOTTENHAM have accepted a £2m bid from Blackburn Rovers for Pascal Chimbonda, according to reports.
The Spurs defender, who has also had spells at Sunderland and Wigan, is deemed surplus to requirements by Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.
Chimbonda joined Spurs for £4.5m in the summer of 2006 but moved to Sunderland two years later.
The France full-back resigned for Tottenham last January, but featured just five times on his return to White Hart Lane. (The London Paper)
Let’s face it the wisdom to bring Pascal back to White Hart Lane seemed strange from the outset and then the fact the Frenchman barely got a look in merely confounded those who weren’t sure why Harry had brought him back from Sunderland in the first place.
Sam Allardyce is clearly trying to pick up some bargains this summer and may feel that the former Wigan man could help stabilize his defensive line. Some reports suggest that the north London club may well have secured a fee of just over £2m and I am sure that every Spurs fan hopes Harry doesn’t feel the need to employ the full back again.

Not bad for £2.5m. Allardyce is certainly wheeling and dealing like usual, except thusfar none of his signings have come off good.

I think Pascal is a real good player I’m sort of getting the impression that his attitude off the pitch me be a bit of a problem. 2m is a bargain for Blackburn though!!
