Aston Villa have completed the signing of Stephen Warnock from Blackburn Rovers on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee. (Sky Sports)
Martin O’Neill looks to strengthen his options across the back and the signing of the former Liverpool full back is a very good one. The 27 year old has been in fine form for Blackburn Rovers the past season or two and wants to push on and earn himself a regular spot in the England set-up. Not sure what this move means for the likes of Nicky Shorey who’s career has stuttered big time since he moved to Villa Park from Reading.
The fee for Stephen Warnock is thought to be in the region of £7m and is the latest top notch signing to join the club after the summer captures of Fabian Deplh, Habib Beye and Stewart Downing.
