Time to get the ball rolling!
Bolton defender Jlloyd Samuel could make his first league start of the season, having been preferred to Paul Robinson for Tuesday’s League Cup win.
Andy O’Brien has recovered from a groin strain and is also in contention.
Greek defender Sotiros Kyrgiakos is on standby to make his Liverpool debut as centre back Martin Skrtel is still troubled by a jaw injury.
Spain international winger Albert Riera is fit and in contention for his first start of the season.

In many ways this is a must win game. Not because a draw or defeat would end our title hopes but because it would severely hit the players already fragile confidence. We could see Kyrgiakos in action and I am looking forward to seeing him in action. He appears to be a no nonsense type of defender which is what we might need right now.
Fortunately for us Bolton haven’t started the season very well either and are yet to score a goal in the Premier League. In many ways its wins at tough places like the Reebok that separates title contenders and title winners. I am hopeful we can overcome Gary Megson’s side, clearly on the face of it we have a far superior side and its all about the players attitude and commitment on the day and I am sure that Rafa will have given the players a real roasting after the Villa match. I fancy Steven Gerrard to lead from the front and put in a solid and passionate display.
My Prediction: 2-0 to Liverpool
