So, we come to it. The first big game of the season and I am confident we can come back from Old Trafford with something. Yes we have no Cesc but I have the utmost confidence in Denilson and Alexander Song to do a good job. It will be interesting to see how Vermaelen does in a game of this magnitude. He was fantastic against Celtic at Parkhead and he has already struck up a great partnership with William Gallas.
My Prediction – 1-1

An unconvincing couple of performances at Turf Moor and at our last home match against Birmingham City were hopefully erased by our fine second half demolition of Wigan last week. Berbatov and Rooney were superb in that game and totally on the same wavelength and hopefully that will carry over for this huge match. It may still be early in the season but don’t underestimate just how important this match could be in the long run.
My Prediction 1-0 to United.
