The Most Horrific Tackle You Will See This Season (Video)
by Mad Dog and Glory on August 31st, 2009 21 commentsThis is just plain gruesome. Watch how Standard Liege player Alex Witsel goes over the ball and deliberately stamps on Anderlecht man Marcin Wasylewski’s leg and essentially snaps his leg in two. This is probably as bad as the Eduardo incident of a couple of years ago. Now this kind of challenge deserves a six month ban and I would imagine Wasylewski’s career must be over after such a challenge. This challenge should have an 18 rated certificate as it truly is quite horrific.

disgraceful. should be banned for the same time that the player is injured for. im sure their was some prermiership teams looking at alex witsel a few months back but surely not after that.

He should be banned for life, no one should have to play against a guy like this… He should also pay compensation too.. Disgraceful! He’ll probably get a 2 match ban… FIFA, UEFA and footballing authourities need to get a handle on things…

Seriously? It’s slowed down footage of the incident, which always makes things look worse. He has a terrible, terrible fracture of the leg there, but I’m not sure it was intentional. Looks like an Adebayor “ball-shielding” special to me.

i have to say that is about 10 times more horrific than eduardos ankle break. i’d be suprised if he walked again let alone play football again

Ban him for life. This has to be stamped out of the game.

The title should be ‘the most horrific tackle you will ever see’.

It’s very bad news for polish national team :/
and his name is Wasilewski… Wasyl is the nickname

How can you compare this to Martin Taylors tackle on Eduardo? That tackle was a late tackle that resulted in a horific injury. There wasn’t any bad intentions on that tackle it was just unfortunate that it happened where as the Witsel tackle was horrendous, it was a cowards tackle. A 6 month ban would be justified in this case but not in the Taylor incident.

i swear i almost greened out when i see this, how the fuck axsel witsel played against arsenal yesterday i will never know. that poor polish fucker itsprobably gonna be in a fuckin wheelchair for the rest of his life there aint no fuckin way his leg can be the same again after that, his fuckin foot done a 360 degree rotation.. he truly got fucked up n that axsel witsel should be banned for a very long time.
shit man this kinda shit puts me right of playing football on a sunday …. fuck that!

i dont understand people getting all hot under the collar over these. sures its bad but those tackles happen 10 times a game. its just unfortunate an unfortunate outcome from a poor tackle. im sure witsel didnt intend to hurt let alone break the leg. if the leg hadnt broken you would be saying “thats a nasty challeneg and he deserves his 3 game ban” but because the leg broke we get all this banned for life shit. dont look at the leg and think logically ffs!!

And today, more than an half year after this incident, there are several big injuries in UK. Some of them are very hard.
No words, no comments.
“Banned for a very long time ….” Pff.
I’m remembering Everton vs Liverpool. This match was a shame. All physical contacts were dangerous.
The fault of Axel Witsel was an incident. He never wanted that, he just tried to be the first on the ball and protect himself. Wasyl is well known to be a butcher !!
