Arsenal Set to Sell £4m Senderos to Hull Apparently: Wild Rumour or the Truth?

The Three Stages of the Transfer Window Insanity!

Philippe Senderos, who has been told by Wenger he can leave the club, is likely to be the only departure and Hull are lining up a move for him after selling Michael Turner to Sunderland for £12m. (Evening Standard)
Philippe deserves a good break. A move to Hull, and their perma-tanned idiot of a manager, would be a decent one. I have nothing against the Tigers, in fact I quite like them, I just can’t stand Phil Brown who seems to make a living out of making a fool of himself.
Senderos is a decent centre back and one who is a far cry from the dopey looking young Swiss who first arrived at the club all those years ago. Sure he may not be good enough to crack into our first team but he can sure as hell do a decent job in the Premier League. Hell even AC Milan thought he was the bees knees, but then they put him in the heart of their defence and thought again.
Quite how Hull managed to get a fee in the region of £12m for Turner is beyond me and apparently they could get Senderos for just £4m, what a crazy world we live in! Where English footballers cost the earth and football managers try to morph into Tom Jones!

If Hull can get Senderos and still have 8m from the Turner sale then that is one hell of a deal.

I agree with Mr. Anon above. That is one hell of deal – though I suspect the signing of McShane was the actual replacement sadly enough.

We only got £6M for Turner with a potential £2M in “add ons”. Don’t forget Brentford get 25% of the deal, so we have shafted ourselves!

Im a hull city fan, we will take anyone who will play for us we defo need a defender after brown and duffen sold our best player.
I and many other fans are like you and we want brown out the club he can take duffen as well.

Only rumours from the sunderland tabloids that we got 6M, this has not been confirmed! Suspect it was more than that or why did we turn the other offers down?
Senderos would be an excellent replacement and much better than Kilgallon from Sheffield who is also being mentioned.

Anonymous, speak for yourself. Brown and Duffen have done wonders for this club. I suspect that Turner had a hand in asking for the transfer jusging by his comments. There is no value in keeping a player who wants to move on. It seems like a good deal to me whether is 6m or 12m. I like the lad but dont want a player getting unghappy at Hull if he wants to move on. Hope we get Senderos, he’s a quality player and no worse than Turner. Win Win situation

If it was only £6m it would have better letting Liverpool get him than Sunderland!
footybanter.co.uk - September 1st, 2009 at 1:18 pm
In fact, I thought it was more like £12m for Turner, but I couldn’t find an official fee – it’s just the old ‘undisclosed’ business.

I doubt Arsenal would do business with Phil Brown after his antics last season. I liked Hull City before that.

I find it hard to give brownie a hard time as when he took over we second bottom of the championship and now where in the top flight talking about signing senderos. But it would seem that popular opinion suggests a hell of alot of people actually hate him there a strong possibility that’s why we’ve missed out on alot of our transfer targets this summer we clearly have money and ambition just look at attempts to sign negredo and owen. There’s even a comment on this page from a arsenal fan saying he likes us but hates brownie. Simply the club has to come first if players ain’t signing because of brown there’s no other option but for him to leave.

hull you make me F#@IN SICK……
i sit here in australia, west sydney to be exact supporting this team for no more reason then i liked your rise to power and i thought “hell yeah my type of underdog”
1 yr later ONCE AGAIN weaker then we started the transfer period and im wondering why i support teams like you?
i also support the ‘RUSSELL CROWE’ owned south sydney rabbitohs, so my point is i am awesome at picking teams who are run by idiots!
well done brown and duffen sell the rest of the team and your sure to achieve some stability like LEEDS!
hull by a broom and run it through the place starting from the top.
