Earth Shattering Liverpool Transfer Rumour: If Only!
by YNWA on September 1st, 2009 352 words | 144 commentsWishful thinking!
The Three Stages of the Transfer Window Insanity!
Whilst most clubs are fawning over the internet in search of stories relating to brand spanking new signings us Liverpool fans will just have to make do with what we have, which is a very capable squad that is not nearly large or deep enough to withstand injury or loss of form from our big names.
So imagine today was Xmas day and we didn’t have Laurel & Hardy as our owners, and we could actually spend a pound or two today, who would you liked pursued by the club?
Sure we could do with a back up striker with experience and maybe a new left back to boot, but try to keep within reason. The idea is not to opt for crazy money here, but more a chance for you to rack your brains to find a player who would suit us down to the ground.
The players we have brought in have already made an impact. Glen Johnson has been superb and I read a piece earlier in the week calling him the new Cafu and I felt that was pretty accurate if slightly overblown a comparison. The right back loves bombing forward and has added another dimension to the team that is most welcome.
Of course we are still to see Alberto Aquilani. Some will, and indeed already have, question the wisdom of signing a player with a long term injury but the proof will be in the pudding as they say. If he comes in and does a grand job everyone will applaud Rafa if the comes in and does himself in with another injury within quick succession people will be baying for his blood, such is the fickle nature of the game, but that’s why we love it so!
Sotiris Kyrgiakos will prove to be a wise and financially prudent capture if not the most earth shattering of additions still a very useful one.
So let’s be having you, as Delia Smith once said, who would you have liked to have seen added on this transfer deadline day.

I would have loved to see David Silva at the club.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:30 am
Love the Laurel & Hardy comparison, painfully true
Bruce - September 1st, 2009 at 10:31 am
In an Ideal world i would have said David Villa but in a more realistic frame of mind, Kranjcar would have been an excellent buy
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 10:35 am
van der vaart, david silva, david villa/sergio aguero and a left back would of been nice
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 10:35 am
bruce – good shout about kranjcar he could of been a great option
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:38 am
Don’t need Silva as we already have Benayoun.
David Villa would fit every scenario – he could play in 4-4-2 whether Gerrard fit or not or as centre forward if Torres injured.
Maybe Valencia would do swap for Lucas, Babel & Voronin but guess nobody is quite that dumb!
baggins09 - September 1st, 2009 at 10:39 am
zaki
we’ve got enough capable of covering the wings if needed, but we’ve not got any real back up for torres without affecting other areas, so he’d be a cheap option at 3mil i know loads of people will disagree but im been realistic i would have prefered carew and milner to come in but it wouldn’t happen unless we had stupid money which we don’t and silva’s no better than an on form yossi
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:40 am
Laurel and Hardy were a good laugh. And Stan Laurel was English.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:41 am
r. van der vart
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:41 am
Were Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum American?
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:44 am
Kenwine Jones, or Darren Bent. Would be good back up for torres, and could play in the first team along side him.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:45 am
Benjani, martins, johnson, richards, noble, lennon, defour, baptista, tuncay, de lap, joe hart, bale, rafina the list goes on with cheap players that could be turned into star players
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 10:46 am
yossi is not in the same league as david silva
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:47 am
more like dumb and dumber for me
I would like to have seen Silva but at this point a stand-in forward with a bit of pace to be understudy to Torres would do – even on loan! we`re in a sorry state though when we are being out-spent by the likes of Stoke and Sunderland and cant even afford the wages of a loanee
who will rid us of these turbulent pests??
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 10:48 am
defour is a good shout, not benjani!
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 10:50 am
we just need someone! end of, old or young cheap or expensive as long as they can do a job as a starter or backup buy them
Benji - September 1st, 2009 at 10:51 am
Baggins09 –
Have to agree Zaki would be a fantastic signing as he is cheap, mid twenties and talented as he proved early on in the season on loan at Wigan by scoring 11 goals. Not bad for his first season in the premier league
saif - September 1st, 2009 at 10:51 am
what if eny transfers is rafa going to make today eny ideas
baggins09 - September 1st, 2009 at 10:51 am
hasnt benjani got that knee problem? i would have liked carew, milner, richards, bale, tuncay i think them 4 would have provided the cover we need to secure the league
baggins09 - September 1st, 2009 at 10:55 am
Benji -
i started up about zaki yesterday posting anonymously and very few agreed i think he’d be ideal to play with torres admittedly if we had more money he wouldnt be first choice but we dont so he is in my opinion
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:56 am
ideal world david villa but sice theres no money krancjar would be a sensible signing.either footed quick and strong.lots of versitality and can score goals
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:57 am
True, 20 million for Silva who is an over inflated Yossi.
I would have lovin to see Kranjcar and at 2 million wud have been a snip.If we had the money defo Villa, Imagine d fear in Rio and Vidic,s eyes if they saw Torres, Vill and Gerrard bearing down on them……But the player I would have most liked to have seen come to Liverpool is no other than is John Carew, he is absolute class and wud be a perfect foil for Torres and can play on his own up fromt if needed. Does anyone agree????
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 10:58 am
zaki talent wise would be a great buy but only if rafa can sort his attitude out as steve bruce last season couldnt cope with him
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 10:58 am
Keisuke Honda, Steven Defour, Matias de Federico, David Silva and maybe Julio Baptista on loan
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 11:01 am
carew would be quality, kranjcar is joining tottenham for 2mil
why does everyone think benayoun is as good as silva??? silva is quick, eye for goal, skillful, great vision, mobile, aggressive for his size
benayoun for me is weak, slow, bullied off the ball, granted he is skillful and scores 5 goals a season but silva is streets ahead
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 11:01 am
COYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 11:07 am
I think you are all day dreaming. Till those bloody americans owe the club it’s less than 25% chance to take the premiere league. Not that we haven’t a great team but there is that one or two players lacking which we aren’t going to get since no funds for transferes are being handled. I would suggest that you guys instead of wishing players you should post ideas how LIVERPOOL can get rid of those bloody american. Liverpool fc and fans deserve much better.

H&G for DIC would be my dream transfer.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 11:13 am
i would bring riise back to the club in a swap+cash for dossena
i would also bring in v.d.v for 8mill
honda guy also looks good 10mill
ruud van nistelroy 3mill
c.cole 8mill or carew 5mill
total-26-29mill
sell-5mill
voronin-4mill
intadje-1mill
9torres - September 1st, 2009 at 11:14 am
back to reality though, i think Baptista for Dossena would be great. Strong, powerful, good in the air… Also he started as a defensive midfielder at Sevilla and moved forwards so he has the versatility Rafa is always on the lookout for.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 11:19 am
we need other owners.. Should give farewell to these yanks and welcome some Arabian based owners..
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 11:19 am
look at sky sports, weve spent the second most amount on players behind city
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 11:20 am
Definatel not John Carew or Silvia. krancjar is very good value and would be a good addition..
However if money no object then I would like to see, which would have been a big shake up (I hate to see Alonso go, and feel we have to change formation now that he is bossing the R-Madrid team).
Sell the following , most of them make no impact :
Itandje (2M) , Dossena (6m) , Degan (3M), Voronin (4M), Babble (10M), Javi Masch (30M), Plessy (3M), Spearing (3M), Levi (6M), El Zhar (4M) Total of 69 M –
Could include Toure as part swap for Masc and Babble as part swap for Young.
Bring in the following :
VDV 8M, Javi Martinz 10M, Taylor 5M, Young 15M, and Villa 40M Total 78 M Job Done – total cover and flexibility.
Not sure we need Taylor now, but would have bought him before recent signing.
Villa should have been our top target, can play instead of Torres or gerrad so covers two positions, is top quality and could allow us deploy Gerrard in new position and formation.
baggins09 - September 1st, 2009 at 11:28 am
there basing that on what the over all fee’s are though not what we’ve actually paid like aquilani overall fee is 20mil but we’ve only paid about 4.5 up front and johnson we was owed money for crouch so we got him for about 10 and the greek bloke was only a couple of milso we’ve not even spent 20mil
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 11:30 am
Xabi Alonso & Hyypia would improve our squad 10 fold. But seeing as they were departure’s not arrivals…… I’d have taken Gudjonsen £2m to Monacco!!!!!! Drenthe from Real for cover on the left either attacking or deffensive. I’d have taken Sjnieder as part of the Alonso deal. And Negredo….. If Rafa had used his head he could have signed all those players using onlt Alonso as his bargaining chip…. Get the yanks out of our club…. YNWA
baggins09 - September 1st, 2009 at 11:34 am
who is silvia doesnt she work at the laundrette? and you selling 10 players and bringing in 5 how does that add depth? and when torres plays with villa it hinders his game because he end up doing the donkey work so is less affective you more out of torres if you played him with carew yet you dont rate him
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 11:40 am
yes look at sky sports aurelio could be back for pur next game on september 12th
we just need a versatile midfielder and a striker
9torres - September 1st, 2009 at 11:45 am
No-one else think that Baptista would be a good addition?
baggins09 - September 1st, 2009 at 11:45 am
i think loans are our only option
baptista-loan
zaki-loan with a view to buy and send n’gog otherway on loan to get first team experience
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 11:53 am
baggings09,
Apart from Masch, the other 9 add nothing. No point being squad player if you seriously weaken the team when you pla.
Adding 5 top quality players, plus the returning injured players , all of who can make a difference : aurellio, aqualino, agger, skrtel.
I would rather another 5 top quality players then players who weaken the team or are complete dross like dossesn, injured degan, crpa Itandje, just not good enough for LFC are players like Plessy , Spearing , Levi, El Zhar and 30M for a limited player like Mash would have been great business – i have been saying it all along , he is a limited specialist layer, Alonso made him look good, he cant pass for shit, cant score, just a hard running fast covering defiensive player, hardly the guy we need. Martinz would bring us better box-to-box and could easily do what Masc does.
Given the starting 11, plus the injured 5, plus new 5 plus, plus yossi and Cavalieri, that gives us 22 players, then there is the young lads with real potential : Kelly, Ngog, Darby, Ayala. Dont understand why Nemeth was sent on loan. That is a big enough squad of quality and flexibility and proper cover to win on all fronts. No pount in having 35 players if over half them are not fit to play for promoted teams not to mind LFC.
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 11:55 am
baptista – loan
zaki – loan
definately an improvement, then…
van der vaart – loan
bentley- could be up for a loan with view to buy
martin petrov – loan as he wants away
jenas – loan young and better than lucas!!
beckham – loan
joaquin – loan not wanted at valencia
with any mix of these we would have a greater in depth squad with added quality
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:07 pm
agree with the beckham loan thing….man utd wont have him back and he has to be playing European football toplay for the English national team…where better than the EPL to train eh?
People say he’s past it but seriously…he isnt
hes won trophies remember…lots of em…his knowledge and commanding presence in the game would be useful, even if he cant start every match.
and id rather have him than lucas lol
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:08 pm
and how about voronin out,
Nemeth in
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:09 pm
Ruud Van Nistlerooy as back up for Torres. Yes he’s old and slow but he score everything that gets to him in the box a much more freightening prospect that Voronin coming off the bench.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:10 pm
diego carpell sevilla winger
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:10 pm
hey, personally .i would have loved shevchenko on loan with a view to buy.
I can hear the gasps and and curses already from the reds faithful but if you really think hard about it you could see it to be a better signing for us than owen has turned out to be for united.
Firstly, he is ukranian …. mmm …who else in our side is ukranian ….. of course his compatriot porn star strike partner voronin. They play togetrher at international level , they would gel together quickly and they would know each others style of play . perfect replacements for torres in the league cup or early stage fa cup draws.
secondly, he might be in poor form now but that would only cost us wages and not a transfer fee and if rafa does get him back to the Ac Milan free scoring days , what a bonus!
Finally, he can play as a lone striker or just lead the line- he did it at milan . And with his deft touch , what a perfect addition to our squad .The perfect , cheap replacement for torres.
so what do you think. Can anyone give rafa a buzz and tell him to pik up sheva
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:12 pm
Apparently were going to sign Rafael Sobis on a free. If it happens the 24 year old winger and striker will be given the number 7 shirt. This deal is a real possibility so keep an eye on this.
saif - September 1st, 2009 at 12:13 pm
what about martinez on loan and if he plays well buy him
and what about arda turan for bable
zaki for voronin
baptista on loan or swap for dossena as aurelio is going to be redy for the next match so we doun’t need him
jouquin, since valencia want to sell him ect
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:14 pm
seviilla winger diego capell
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:17 pm
how do you create an account on this?
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:18 pm
Hey some good loan suggestions, dont all have to be superstars, hope Rafa is doing something today, but I fear not. I read VdV is now staying at Madrid but he was available.
van der vaart – would be fantastic but fearn not possible.
bentley- never rated him.
martin petrov – great loan player.
jenas – loan young and better than lucas!! agree……
beckham – loan…..agree with comments, has to be better then lucas too.
joaquin – loan not wanted at valencia—-always liked him.
agree too with Ruud Van Nistlerooy , scores once presented with ball in box.
also think Baptista could be great in a LFC shirt, with right management and motivation.

damn it because we are so broke , we will have to change our slogan from “you’ll never walk alone” to “please, we need a loan”
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:33 pm
shevchenko to liverpool, i agree. If rafa can get the former golden boot and former player of the year scoring again, what a god send. and besides, i always thought he looked better in red than in blue.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:34 pm
with these american owners we might as well chant from the stands that”we’ll always need a loan”
saif - September 1st, 2009 at 12:34 pm

An interesting transfer deadline deal would be to loan out both Gillette & Hicks. Although, who would be interested in paying their wages (loans)?? :-/
Jt-1995 - September 1st, 2009 at 12:40 pm
just watchin sly sports news an inerested 2 c that we are the 2nd highest spenders un the epl apart from man city. we have spent 38 mil but got 30 back from the alonso deal and 3.5 back from sellin arbeloa. so altogether we have spent 4.5 mil. the americans must of gave us atleast 15-20mil.
we shud sign one of the following players 2day -
villa
ribery
aguero
van der vart
arshavin
lennon
joe cole
ashley young
walcott
david silva
defoe
i would be over the moon with any of these players but lets get real none of the following players are going 2 sign for us.
they are the type of players i really think we need. some1 who gets goals is quick and can create.
i just hope i dnt watch transfer deadline day and see that wed dnt sign nay1
please rafa splash the cash!!!
saif - September 1st, 2009 at 12:46 pm
i think that rafa wnts to keep things quiet
Jt-1995 - September 1st, 2009 at 12:47 pm
a friend of mine is at melwood (liverpools training ground) and just been tlkin 2 him and he sed that a box cab went in with blacked out windows and he aksed the fella driven it who was in it and he sed pavluchenko. could be a lie but if we wer 2 sign him id say its a good deal.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:50 pm
everscum signing players and were not damn yanks
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 12:59 pm
jt-1995 you just made that up
matty - September 1st, 2009 at 1:08 pm
We really should have gone for Arshavin on deadline day in January using the £12m we got for Keane. He is magic that lad.
To be honest I can’t see anything happening unfortunately, but God I hope we get someone.
Jt-1995 - September 1st, 2009 at 1:18 pm

Saif –
There is a Rafael Sobis thread in the “This Is Anfield forum” but thats it for rumours although it would be an awesome move if it happened. Especially if he is free as stated.
I think we are goin to be disappointed when we buy/loan no one today….
YNWA.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:23 pm
its been too quiet for us if anything, surely something must be going on… everyone has done the calculations, we should have a bit of money for another player!
RVN would be good i think, obviously VDV would be AMAZING but unlikely now. Not sure about this Baptista talk, he has already failed in the prem for a decent team
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:28 pm
We might get a loan deal for some average to good player but i cant see us realistically getting a really decent signing like VDV..it just isnt going to happen.
saif - September 1st, 2009 at 1:31 pm
we’ll see what happens
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Laurel and Hardy just rolled over in their graves when they read you compared Gillette and Hicks to them. I understand the former are funny, but the latter are just laughable.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:33 pm
Sorry, I know you are all going to cal me stupid, but….. here it is….. Kevin Davies, best English target man in Premier League, always causes defences problems (especially ours). He’d be ideal as a last 20 mins theow him on (better than the pony tail)
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:33 pm
bring on ruud van nistelrooy, he would be a good addition for cheap
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:37 pm
Ribery havin liverpool medical as we speak.
matty - September 1st, 2009 at 1:40 pm
I just had a look over on BBC Sport and one of their reporters heard from a football agent that a big money transfer is expected in the north-west with Liverpool Everton and Man City all willing to splash cash. Conisdering we have no cash and I can’t see Everton spending big it looks like City will get the headlines again. I’ts nice to be mentioned though.
bod - September 1st, 2009 at 1:44 pm
That’s great news about Ribery. Did we offer a packet of chewing gum and mars bar for him?
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:48 pm
no a years supply of escargot
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 1:53 pm
well , the panic seems to have been stemmed . For the minute at least.. On what i ‘ve seen up to now, i reckon liverpool will be lucky to finish in the top six never mind give Chelsea, Manure or Arsenal a run for thier money, with Citeh and Villa comming up on the outside.. Pool seem to have too manu conflicts going on at Anfield with no money to spend..
9torres - September 1st, 2009 at 1:58 pm
i doubt very much that we will sign anyone else this window.
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 2:01 pm
rafael sobis hopefully will be signed as the boy is class, any of the few mentioned above in one of my previous posts would be good. but please just get a yellow ticker bar in on sky sports saying breaking new: liverpool have signed…. PLEASE
Benji - September 1st, 2009 at 2:10 pm
I agree with the Kevin Davies shout anonymous (whoever you are)
He hassled our defenders at the Reebok and would provide good cover for Torres.
He would be reasonably cheap.. Only one problem… you guessed it. the Yanks
They wont give rafa a penny. Cheap bastards
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:13 pm
Baptista on loan and Phillip Lahm for £15m
vince in oz - September 1st, 2009 at 2:29 pm
i just wonder wat signings rafa wul have made if he the same amount of money to spend as city did?
216 million pounds..here are my players
aguero- 50mil
silva- 25 mil
sneijder- 20 mil
lennon- 22 mil
richards- 15 mil
milner- 15 mil
lahm- 15 mil
rodwell- 8 mil
=170 million
imagine the depth that we would have as well as the team..possibilities wuld be endless..mayb if we get that DIC group in mayb we could have some of these players
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:32 pm
I’d rather we got the Nigerian international left-back Justice Christopher, than wasting money on Lahm who as we all know Bayern will not sell cheap, if at all. We need a back up keeper and Bogdan Stelea from Romania would be perfect and cheap. And i’d grad Sebastian Bergoyne from Rennes as back-up to Torres. As good as Villa.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:33 pm
i’d love to see aguero play for liverpool, however given the current financial situation i think van nistlerooi or sheva would be good buys. I think we’re not going to buy anyone though. Would love to see babel upfront or kuyt upfront with our beloved torres. Riera on the left and bennie on the right with gerard n masch in the middle should be our first eleven. I have faith in this current squad but rafa is a prick n is not playing the players in the correct position. Why change something that isn’t broken, gerard in midfield is the best option now that alonso is gone. This season we’ll really miss him. N personally was gutted that he wanted to go.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:43 pm
David Trezeguet sighted at John Lennon airport according to BBC, think he would be better back up for Torres than N’Gog.
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:46 pm
it will be announced at 4.45 that pavlyuchenko has signed for the pool….
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:51 pm
what has happened to chris mavinga?? is he injured or just been dumped in the reserves??? or been loaned back to where he came from….
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:52 pm
Laurel & Hardy never had the business sense to buy a club, bleed it dry & sell it on for a vast profit 2 years later. Only hard nosed businessmen who have made their millions by repeating this business model over & over again can do that. All I can say is “Thats another fine mess you have got us into Moores & Parry”.
Only it’s not really funny is it . . . . Stop dreaming about transfers, the owners that were so carefully vetted by the real Laurel & Hardy have only one intention and that is to sell up and make a vast profit.
Do do do, do do do, do do do do do do . . . do do
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 2:58 pm
We should have gotten one of the very good Dutch players that Real Madrid let go for reasonable prices. Any of the 4 would have done a good job, especially Sneijder. Then we could have let that worthless Babel go!

who will it be

nothing about Sobis or Cole, more clutching at straws. At the end of the day we are being linked with players who will not strengthen our team significantly so why is anyone even bothered?!!?
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 4:35 pm
25 minutes to go its finished lads, fighting for 4th and 5th place….
Warren Bloggs - September 1st, 2009 at 4:54 pm
Squad depth is far too thin especially with the useless players we have anyway. Im not saying these players are world beaters but the likes of:
David Bentley (spurs) LOAN
Hesselink (celtic-former) FREE
Rafael Sobis FREE
ETC ETC. would improve our depth no doubt especially our striking options!
DM - September 1st, 2009 at 4:58 pm
its over, 2 minutes, we need rafa and americans to go
anonymous - September 1st, 2009 at 4:59 pm
Phillip lahm would be a good left back, and bastian schweinsteiger as a winger.

I would rather Rafa spend no money than spen it on a bad buy. Man City have inflated the price of a player, lets wait till january when teams might be more desperate to sell, or whenthere unrest in the team when players dont play, them we might be able o get a decent player….. although Kranchar would have been a good buy… better than Lucas anyway

easy…we only need 1 player
xabi alonso
anonymous - September 2nd, 2009 at 2:23 am
Thierry Henry would be perfect and has said if he was to return to the prem it would only be to play for LFC due to the amazing atmosphere at Anfield.Imagine Torres,Gerrard and Henry.
anonymous - September 2nd, 2009 at 3:28 am
If its was Dubai International Co. has our owners and Xabi/Arbeloa still wanted to go. And knowing Rafa he wouldnt spend crazy money.
The following Squad would have been ours.
1) Reina / Cavalier .
2) Johnson/Martin Kelly or Darby
3) Carra/ Skrtel
4) Agger / Turner
5) Insua / Aurelio / Taiwo
6) Kuyt / Young / Aqualani / Defour / Gerrard / Masch / Silva / Reira / spearing.
7) Yossi / Torres / D.villa / Ngog .
sold Dossena / Voronin for cheap money wouldnt be an issue.
Loaned Lucas / Babel if they didnt like it sold them as well.
Our 1st Team
Reina
Johnson Carra Turner Taiwo
Masch
Kuyt Gerrard Silva
Torres Villa
Bench : Defour , Skrtel , Yossi , Ngog , Cavalieri , Young , Aurelio or Insua .
Agger , Aqualani (both when fit with the above team wouldnt be missed).
With the above we can have unlimited options of changing things around when it doesnt work. eg Gerrard with Torres or villa or either striker on his own.
Reality says we dont even have a no.7 and our no. 10 is a player who doesnt look like he wants to be here neither do we want him.
We have Degen / Voronin / Aurelio on free transfers of which 1 or 2 of them we dont see all season.
Ngog / Krygiakos 1.5m. Lucas / Yossi worth 5m I think lucas is probably less.
We have bought yet another injury prone player in Aqualani. Feeling good about winning the league. I am not!!.
anonymous - September 2nd, 2009 at 3:52 am
an english players
anonymous - September 3rd, 2009 at 11:53 am
The transfer window is now closed we have to do with what we have but i was very suprised we did not sign another striker to complement Torres. Not worried about Alonso leaving as he wanted to and 30m for him was good bussilness. Lets wait for this new Italian and see what he can offer. We can still win th Leage. This the so called big teams will drop lots of points. Rafa might have erreared here and there but who is a good coach still out there?!!!!!!!!!!
anonymous - September 8th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
I would like to see Egyptian striker, Mohamed Zidan. Really is a talented youngster
anonymous - September 8th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
We need some african bulk in… Imagine a player like michael essien at liverpool? Sissoko was another big loss to the club
anonymous - September 8th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
I would have like Cheryl Cole, Heather Graham, Angelina Jolie, Dannie Minogue, Eva Mendes, Katie Holmes, Halle Berry, Hiedi Klum, Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson and Sienna Miller.
anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
Good shout on Mohamed Zidan, watched him in the conferderations cup, good signing for liverpool, ideal situation, we offload bad players like babel, lucas and vorinin, we buy either villa or aguero, we bring in silva as well, we sell mascherano to barcelona and get the swap for bojan and buchequets, we could also get someone like Elia from hamburg and hamsik from napoli, also watch for Pjanic from lyon, good play maker and good player to add to liverpool’s line up
anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
We will not buy someone like Arshavin or Eduardo, these players will not leave Arsenal and Arsene wont sell then to us,
anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
rumours of Rafa trying to bring in veteran players to fill in gaps for the rest of the season, this will not work, they will play 2 games and get tired, we will then release them on free transfer and waste more money on players that are useless, we should’ve realled in Van der Vaart while we had the chance, he wanted to leave Real but Rafa didnt get him, poor show by Rafa again, but then blame can be passed onto our owners who will not supply the money!
anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 11:07 pm
Bring back Nemeth!!
anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
I’ve just bought my son that new FIFA 10 for his birthday but I am started to get addicted to his progress on ‘manager mode’ with Liverpool, he used the first season, with the players we have now, and bought in a few players like Elia, Hamsik and Pandev, these were good players who did the job they were suppose to do. In his second season he sold mascherano to real for 35 million and used that money to bring in silva for 25 million, he sold n’gog, babel, lucas and vorinin and raised funds to 30million, in january of season 2, he brang in a few player on the free tansfer and sold them on, he then submitted a bid for villa on the last day for 40 million and got him, see how it can be done, why cant rafa do this or why cant my son be liverpool manager!!
anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
we need a player who plays in ‘the whole’
