Talented Dane on his way back to St James’ Park.

Premier League Soccer: Liverpool v Newcastle United MAY 3

Sky Sports is saying Peter rejected two previous offers from Newcastle, because he was not too happy with, but finally signed the Dane. We assume the deal he has now is not as good as the 6 months deal he had earlier this year – but that is hardly surprising.

But this is a good signing for the side because Peter is class, and can play at striker or on either wing, and he can score those goals, which we’ll need this season if we are to be promoted. In 12 appearances he has scored 3 goals.

We understand Peter will wear the No.11 jersey for Newcastle and is in line to make his second debut (?), when Newcastle travel to Cardiff City on September 13th. (NUFC Blog)

This is excellent news from an excellent Newcastle blog. Perhaps even better news is the fact that the transfer deadline has passed and Mike Ashley hasn’t decided to sell every player at the club with an ounce of quality.

Peter Lovenkrands was a hit during his spell at St James’ Park last season scoring goals and making things happened. The 29 year old winger is of the old fashioned variety and he could be a huge asset in the Championship where a player of his trickery should thrive.
