Sky Sources understand Niko Kranjcar has passed his medical at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of his proposed switch from Portsmouth.
A fee in the region of £2.5 million is said to have been agreed between the two Premier League clubs, with Tuesday’s transfer deadline looming.

The lay-off of influential playmaking midfielder Luca Modric, who broke his leg during Tottenham Hotspur’s clash with Birmingham City and is not expected to be fit until late October, is less likely to diminish the club’s strong start to the season as Niko Kranjcar – a near like-for-like replacement – edges closer to a permanent move to White Hart Lane following a successful medical.
The Croatian international has been coached by Spurs manager Harry Redknapp before, and will rejoin strikers Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe, with whom he will be familiar from their time together at troubled south-coast club Portsmouth. (Goal.com)
