With the likes of Arsenal, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool not splurging on deadline day and with only Man City really spending big big money, was this a Transfer Window that failed to deliver? Or was this an expected knock on effect of the financial meltdown?

Obviously a fair few big transfers have been conducted during the opening of the transfer window but more often than not the big deals have involved big players leaving the Premier League with Cristiano Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso being two such instances.
Chelsea failed to complete that ‘marquee’ signing everyone was talking about, whether that was down to a lack of need or because they failed to convince the likes of Ribery of the worth in such a move is debatable. Liverpool have brought in a few new faces but no doubt Rafa would have liked more additions and the same could be said for Arsenal who of course lost big names Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor.
The likes of Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Stoke City have completed many deals as have Sunderland in the last week or two before the deadline.
So how did your side do? Are you happy with the comings and goings or would you have acted differently if you were in charge of the purse strings?
