Former Arsenal man has no class whatsoever.

Emmanuel Adebayor has apologised for baiting Arsenal fans after scoring in Manchester City’s 4-2 win at Eastlands.
The former Gunners striker, who joined City in the summer, ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of visiting fans, who reacted furiously.
But after Saturday’s game, the Togo international said: “The emotion took over me. Now I just have to say sorry.”He also clashed with Robin Van Persie during the game, his right boot catching the Dutchman in the face.
Adebayor, who was booked for his inflammatory celebration after making it 3-1 to the home side with 10 minutes to go, escaped punishment following the incident, which left Van Persie with a cut to the left side of his face. But the Football Association may decide to act once it has reviewed television footage.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said he wanted to see a replay before deciding whether there was any intent on Adebayor’s behalf.
“I didn’t really see what happened,” said the Frenchman.
“I have to see it again to see if it was on purpose or not. I can’t say anything at the moment.” (BBC Sport)
First off hats off to Man City for winning today. I really mean it. I have nothing against their club at all, I actually have always had a soft spot for them. I think as a team they attacked with aplomb and were very incisive and in Shay Given they have the best keeper in the Premier League. Also the utmost respect to Kolo Toure who is and will always remain a favourite for any right minded Arsenal fan.
However Emmanuel Adebayor managed, somehow, to make himself an even more hated figure amongst the Gunners faithful, myself included, by celebrating his goal in a manner that just astounded me and my fellow supporters in the away end. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by just how far this guy can sink but hats off to him, he managed to do just that, and his insipid wholly fake apology now just makes him look even more sad and pathetic.
I mean it’s like he has completely forgotten about the club that made him who he is today, and make no mistake, without Wenger there to at first purchase him and guide him to the talented player that he is, and I won’t lie to you he is a good player on his day, he wouldn’t be in the Premier League today, I am sure of that.
He just comes across as such a disgusting person. He carries himself with such an air of arrogance, the like of which is so elevated as to be even more absurd than your usual average egotistical footballer, I mean this guy takes it to a whole other level. I am sure he has few friends at the Emirates and I think our club is all the better for not having him.
Man City fans take heed, he will almost certainly make his move when it suits him and will do so in an underhand manner that will shock and appall in equal measured, you have been warned.

he even have the mentality and heart of a bear so as to kill his previous team mates. he should be ousted.

disgusting human being is a bit wrong.
you dont know him personally so you dont know his personality. he might not have meant to hurt rvp. the arsenal fans would envitabely give him abuse so he has a right to rub it in when he scores.if you can give it you should take it to. he wont be the first player to leave a club that has made him to earn more money at a club with less history. but how can you say that he wouldnt be in the premiership if it wasnt for wenger!! he would easily walk into 90% of the other teams and dont you think managers like benitez, red nose and ancelloti would have developed him? come on! and it is not just looking a good financial deal for him is it.

I think some people are missing the point of the piece. The guy says Man City deserved to win, he says he likes Man City so this isn’t about sour grapes. Adebayor has consistently denied ever doing anything wrong, and this latest incident and limp apology is par for the course. I guarantee all City fans that he will fuck you over, he will leave when someone he considers bigger comes calling.

How can you write this shit after the way you treated Adebayor? You fucking booed one of your own players! A player who scored more than anyone for
you 2 seasons running! Arsenal fans are classless aswell as clueless you have no idea how to support a football club. You have a very fickle fanbase! I remember people booing bendtner last season for god sakes. That was all Adebayors frustration at you lot all expressed in a celebration, it didn’t look like he was effected by you, did he!?!?

so Man City fans you think as Ade was abused he has every right to do what he did?
So did Cantona have every right to karate kick that Palace yob?
Did ZZ have every right to headbutt Matarazzi?
When his your player its ok right?
Hell next time hold a spear out for him and let him stab a few fans as well then huh?
He is an arrogant, selfish, cowardly, cheating, money grabbing wimp of a player and a man.
Butting his own team mate last year, racially abusing RVP while his team mate and now trying to blind him? He could be charged with being racist to RVP in my book and Bendtner in my mind, possibly.
God help him when he comes to Emirates, Hughes should do him a favour and leave him out of the squad as I am sure some “fans” will want revenge for RVP.
FA could save him though, and ban him for the rest of the season as it was clearly on purpose. Quickly seeing where ball was, move backwards, aim kick at RVP head, then turn to pretend oh im looking at the ball, im not clever enough to position my body in line so i don’t need to look just move backwards and kick at anything my big boot comes in contact with, shame it wasn’t his own ego he kicked instead. Then sprinting (fuck me he never moved that quick all last season) to the away fans, could have caused a riot like millwall and hammers, FA have to make an example of him or another player will do it and some fan will end up getting crushed to death as they pour forward to invade the pitch to grab the player.
Wenger found him, Wenger made him, Wenger game him a new contract (Love Wenger but big mistake) and he fell on the ground all season (specially against Man Utd in the CL semis) laughing as he let balls go by him, all along engineering a move, then calls Gooner fans disloyal.
He wants to be loved, bet his own mum don’t love him now, she knows she had a bastard.
Love him now you Blue Moonies, but when he wants a 50% increase next season for doing his job, that being a striker scoring goals, and when sheik man sours bin says no adebuyyour own ticket out, he will do it all over again except you will have baby ribena doing it as well and your whole team will fall apart as they chase moves to Real and you will be back to the Real world not this rose tinted fantasy.
Come cold winter days and your black glove and leggings brigade with the oh his got a little hamstring pull he told me and will need a rest till summer when its warmer, AFC will catch you and pass you and dreams of Europe will be just that again, dreams.

The way Arsenal fans continue to heap bile and abuse on Adebayor you’d think he was a murderer.
It’s incredible because Arsenal fans hate Adebayor more than anyone ever hated Joey Barton . Yet Barton is a confirmed racist who viciously attacked his own team mate while at City. Barton has also committed several other criminal acts . Yet Adebayor gets more hatred.
I think he was wrong to stamp on Van Persie but the Dutchman clearly set out to hurt Ade with his tackle. Sometimes Van Persie makes rash challenges as he did against Fletcher while playing for Holland in midweek against Scotland.
Van Persie probably did that to get some sort of revenge for Fletcher’s tackles when Man u played against Arsenal in the league. And Van Persie clearly swore at the City fans after his goal
Adebayor has not done anything that hasn’t been done before . Rooney does it all the time to Everton by inciting them whenever United play the Toffees while Gary Neville always goads Liverpool fans. And Rooney has been guilty of stamping many times. So how come the writer of this article is calling Ade a disgusting human being. You see Arsenal fans should not have expected Ade to bust a gut for them if they were booing him. He needed encouragement,,not booing. Now it’s come back to bite you in the arse.
All you Ade haters. Get a life

adebayor is nothing but a sick tosser
the fact that he done that to someone he played along side not so long ago is absoloutley disgusting.
Just because he is playing for the new glory hunting team and getting mega money don’t mean he can do what ever he likes because he knows he can get away with it. The bloke goes around thinking his farts don’t stink because he is so up himself he thinks he can get away with everything. Arsenal made him before Arsenal who had heard of him .
The attack was so intentional Van Persie and the camera angle even shows he turns his body to engage in such a sick assult.
Bottom line Adebayor needs to be disiplined if it were Arsenal the story would be different .

RE: Isaac Hunt.
Watch the video footage of the incident again and you can clearly see Adebayor look down at RVP’s face, he doesn’t look for the ball, he doesnt look for his foot but looks directly as RVP’s head before aiming his foot towards it.
As for Adebayor having the right to rub his former clubs fans noses in it, so does that mean that Michael Owen can kiss the United badge when he scores at Anfield?? He wont because he has some class. Its players like Adebayor and Tevez who go around slagging off their ex managers who give 90% of footballers a bad name.

lol, Arsenal fans are just poor losers. Van Persie has a history of dangerous tackles, Fletcher last week, he left sneijder in hospital last year and 7 stitches around the eye of an FC Thun player. He slid in with his head on the ground around a players feet he should take it just as he gives it and stop whinging. All the booing last year, the racist songs during the match, the ripping up seats and hurling them and coins yet all Arsenal fans see is Ade celebrating in front of them. Some Arsenal fans have shown themselves to be a bunch of violent racist thugs who cannot bare to see Ade doing well. you sold him and got plenty of cash for him so stop whinging.

Adebayor was rumbled last summer, trying to engineer a move to Milan/Barca, with all the subtlety of an Old Trafford, Mike Dean ‘home’ refereeing performance. He didn’t get his move and stank of a mercenary who wanted away, the whole of last season. He’s now a full-blown cunt. A bigger man would have scored and celebrated subtly, out of respect to his former manager and team-mates. Even Jermain Defoe had enough respect. But he showed himself to be the lowest kind of modern-day footballer, with his celebrations and deliberate stamping.
City fans are in danger of becoming as hated as Chelski fans, with their nouveau riche mentality. A once like-able club are becoming too big for their boots, too soon. It’s way too early in the season to be so cocky – know your place and know that any success is built on false economy, just like Roman’s play thing. The Arabs will fuck off after two trophy-less seasons and you will be saddled with debt… Prostitutes.

To the two people above that called the second goal offsides, either watch the replay and see you’re wrong or learn the rules of football before you make such ridiculous claims. As for Ade, he’s classless. I’m all for players celebrating and being caught in the moment, but, Adebayor is no Usain Bolt meaning his sprint to the opposite side of the field took at least 10 seconds. He knew where he was going and what he was doing from the start of the run, yet in that time didn’t think it was a poor idea? Now he comes out and says he is sorry? He isn’t sorry for anything, he is just a classless and selfish player. As an Arsenal fan, I will admit that I liked him at the club and that he is a great player, being at Man City now doesn’t change that, it’s just a shame that he ruins it with his huge ego and selfishness. He also deserves to be banned for his kick to van Persie’s face. Regardless of whether or not van Persie went into a stupid or late or malicious challenge, Ade retaliated horribly and should be punished for it. Just another point to how selfish he is and only cares for himself. Congrats to City though for earning a win by taking advantage of their chances while Arsenal failed to use their own.

Van Persie did a Roy Kean. Tried to hurt an opponent and ended up getting hurt himself. If it was on purpose then Adey should be ashamed of himself. However, he may write an autobiography in the next few years confessing to doing in on purpose and still get no sanction. At lease he didn’t end a fellow professionals career and thus earning capacity for his family as the disgraceful Irish united thug did.
As for WiIlshere and even Lescott, Arsenal fans want to enjoy them now while they’te still with them, because it seems that the Professor is brilliant with young raw talent, but unlike Taggart at ManUre, he doesn’t seem to be able to handle them once they become stars. We saw that with Anelka (who Wenger made) and now with Adebeyor.
As for the latter, even if he does do as all the gunners fans are predicting and stops giving a toss after 6 mths, it doesn’t really matter, because by then we will hopefully have gained a spot in the Champions League and as all you accusers of City buying their way to glory know, that’s all your clubs have been doing for years and the Champions League was engineered to ensure that the same clubs just got richer and richer with the gulf between them and the rest getting larger and larger. The Sheik has really messed Uefa’s plans up. But they won’t be too bothered who drops out so long as it is’nt ManUre. If it is then who know, they may award England an extra place!

Compare the pair.
Toure – he had a pretty fantastic game. He didn’t do anything stupid and at the end of the game embraced the Gunners players. He’s just an all round top guy, and he’ll always be a cult hero at the Emirates.
Adebayor – personally, I tried not to criticize him after the MIlan transfer debacle. I tried harder after his efforts last season, but after his goal at Villareal I thought – maybe that will lift him. No. After his transfer, I thought ‘nothing surprising’. After his goal antics, I thought ‘disappointing’. But most of all when he stepped on RvP’s face I thought one thing – dog. It was obvious he stepped on him with purpose:
1. The ball was already a long way away before he brought his foot down.
2. He was moving in the opposite direction.
3. On replay, you can clearly see him looking down at where his foot is going.
4. Most sadly, he didn’t even apologize, even if it was an accident. He just continued playing like the seemingly ruthless thug he’s become.
In terms of his goal celebration, I saw Michael Turner of Sunderland score against his former club Hull, right in front of their supporters on the same day. What does he do? No emotion, no celebration, couple of pats on the back and a jog back to the middle. He recognized that Hull was the club that gave him the chance to move on to greener pastures at Sunderland. It’s a massive disappointment that Adebayor doesn’t realize that if he were never an Arsenal player, he would probably be with some division one team in France.
Fair play to City, they’re a massive threat this season. But Adebayor, you have changed, and as soon as things start going pear shaped and you stop scoring, I hope you get what’s coming.

First and foremost what a game of football and congratulations to Manchester City for a deserved win. In terms of his footballing display, Adebayor was simply magic and Manchester City can look forward to Champions League football next season if he continues the rest of the season in such a rich vain of form. However if we are all honest, we know there is darker side to Adebayour and although the Van Persie incident hardly shows an honourable side of is character it is the goal celebration that worries me the most.
For someone to show such disrespect and distaste toward fans who essentially paid his wages for 3.5 years shows how little he values anyone other than himself throughout the footballing world and to a certain extent is just another example of how modern day footballers have lost their touch with reality.
I am a Liverpool fan and would be ashamed if we were to sign such an egotistic, arrogant and shallow human being (I loosely use the term). I am not denying that ideally we need to sign a striker of similar qualities/attributes and that he is a world class player, but to think I would be donating a percentage of my hard earned cash to pay an individual who clearly has no respect for the average working class citizen would deeply disturb me and this attitude surely has no place in football.
I doubt Adebayor would show the same sort of arrogance and aggressiveness if confronted by working class Arsenal fans on a Saturday night…unless he had an entourage of course, or perhaps even his mother.
Quite frankly, I wouldn’t p*ss on the guy if he was on fire!

I wonder will Adebayor fake an injury when City come to the Emirates? Because he will be absolutey raped. Butt raped.
And for all you Citeh fans, who think you’re a big side…
Who are you playing in the Champions League this week?
How many Premier League titles have you won?
Didn’t Man City beat us 3-0 last season, yet we still managed to finish fourth, while city were mid table?
Adebayor can go fuck himself, classless, greedy wanker.

Why is everyone going on and on about a whole lot of rubbish. Club faithfulness is not allowing some of you see beyond your noses. The way i see it is this, the law is the law and if Adebayor has broken it he would pay. There’s a saying i like “don’t burn your bridges”, Adebayor has done a good job of doing that with Arsenal. I hope for his sake he takes a moment to sit down and consider what may have gone wrong and if he could have handled it better. There are two sides to every story, i don’t think Adebayor is such a betrayer as painted by many, things just went bad somehow. What i don’t like is his being so filled with hate that he would want to seriously injure other players, that was disgusting. As for the celebration, he should have known better, not a very mature move. I pray this man from Togo grows to be the ambassador we all in Africa wish him to be. Meanwhile he’s got to pay for his folly, for the good of the game. I hope Man City manages well without him.

This is simple.
ONLY Arsenal fans have a right to feel like they do and have comments to make about ADEBAYOR.
He was a Gooner and played for us. He had one great season. That greateness honed by a skilful Wenger in January 2006 saved this egotistical twat from a Monaco life at £10k per week.
Whilst a £35k per week player at Arsenal, he tried to engineer a move away from the Emirates via his agent to Milan or Barca, neither of whom were willing to pay £30m for him – he was going nowhere because of the risk accompanying signing such a fractious player – it was too risky for them as his ego is known to all and the incidents with fellow clubmates well documented.
Instead, option 2 for the twat was levering his way to a £60k a week deal from Arsenal by stating his goals ratio (IN HIS ONLY REALLY PRODUCTIVE season), was equivalent to Henry and so he was worth the same money. Arrogant piece of lowlife.
He said “If I score thirty goals in the season like Henry, then the club should be looking to pay me the same money”
Granted every player has a right to earn what they can, and granted Arsenal are selling at the moment to fund a gap, but there are decent ways of doing things.
THIS IS WHY WE WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM AND THIS IS WHY A GROUP OF GOONERS LOST THEIR MINDS AT THE CITY OF MANCHESTER STADIUM – I DO NOT CONDONE IT BUT MERELY MENTION IT SO ALL THE STUPID IDIOTS OUT THERE UNDERSTAND.
The best thing about ARSENAL FANS is their true sense of fairness and justice from inside the club – I don’t give a flying funky what it looks like to outsiders – GOONERS KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND KNOW TRUE FAIRNESS.THAT’S WHY WE LOVE ARSENAL AND NO WE DO NOT LIKE CHEATS AND EDUARDO DID DIVE BUT SO HAVE 10,000 BEFORE HIM AND SO WILL 10,000 AFTER HIM – WHY PICK ON HIM – FAIRNESS, FAIRNESS, FAIRNESS….
ADEBAYOR was never a GOONER and here is my prediction for you Blue Mooners:
HE HAS ALREADY SET HIS OWN PERSONAL AGENDA AGAINST THE GOOD OF YOUR TEAM AND WILL GET A MINIMUM 3 MATCH BAN, MISSING YOUR LOCAL DERBY!!! SELFISH TWAT OR WHAT? HIS PERSONAL AGENDA OVER THAT OF THE MOONERS!!!!
£180k package will keep ADEBAYOR happy for a while – you will see some good from him this year, but a GOAT he aint!
He will be coveted by Real & Barca and Milan in the summer.
He will say “FUCKOFFTOYOUTOO” next seson by sulking, pissing fellow teamates off and not pulling his weight, becasue he didn’t get his way.
He will start getting sent off off several times. He will become unreliable. He will miss unbelievable chances and go back to his regular 7 chances to a goal ratio that he had with us. At the mo, he’s on a £180k per week cloud.
IT IS IN HIS NATURE. He cannot avoid being an egotistiocal, greedy, money oriented selfish brunt. There’s nothing your blue love can do about it.
Red love couldn’t do it. No Blue love ever will.
So let’s get down to the business:
This is what I sent the FA:
“I was appalled at certain incidents in the above game (which otherwise was a marvellous spectacle):
1. Adebayour in the opponent’s half prior to kick off
2. Adebayour tackle, studs on Fabregas’ ankle
3. Adebayour studs in van Persie’s face
4. Adebayour’s goal celebration in front on the travelling fans, after a 90yd run
5. The reaction of the Arsenal fans, leading to injury of a Man City steward.
6. Van Persie’s written statement shortly after the game, which did not allow for the ruling body’s judgement, comment or contemplation.
Several areas bring the game into disrepute and which seriously undermine the FA’s authority, namely 1, 3 & 6 above.
As a man who loves football and Arsenal, but knows no individual or club can ever be bigger than the game:
A I expect the correct action to ensure the injured (Man City) steward’s position is rectified, with appropriate apologies.
B I expect a 6-match ban (3 for a red card offence, 2 for standing in the opponent’s half, and 1 for the goal celebration) for Adebayour.
C I expect correct action to ban players from making comments post match, until after any FA judgement – this does not silence players or clubs, it merely gags them until the authority has spoken – after the heat has cooled, we will find that only genuine issues will then ever draw further comment from clubs & individuals.
Adebayour had a clear, premeditated vengeance agenda. Know the man and you will know the punishment to give him.
1. He toyed aggressively pre match with Arsenal players.
2. He stood on their side pre-kick off
3. He tackled studs showing and aggressively (more so than in any other game I have seen him play)
4. He injured a player
5. He was everywhere on the pitch, including goal line clearances in defence (more so than in any other game I have seen him play)
6. His personal anger was electric when his magnificent ‘maze-like’ run led to a cut back that did not result in a goal
7. He scored a great goal
8. He ran to the opposition without any other thought in his mind – he knew what he wanted to do – there was no spontaneity in that action
9. He apologised in the immediate post match interviews (in the full knowledge that apologies lead to lesser fines, bans etc)
10. He was fully coherent and reasoned in his responses, citing human nature, we are all human beings and he will never do than again, but he was not in Court! He used those very same words when he attempted the move away from Arsenal last year, but afterwards settled with a higher pay offer.
The FA have a duty to correctly and appropriately punish Adebayour and make all those reasons abundantly and publicly clear, because on every level, his behaviour was completely unacceptable and will be copied up and down the country. A section of Arsenal supporters did not cover themselves in glory, but it is precisely those mindless idiots that the FA should be protecting its referees and other spectators from in flexing its arm of justice whilst meting out correct and appropriate punishment.
My brother in law is an FA approved referee and takes at least three games a week in local leagues. His life is made rotten by such displays of selfishness and disrespect.
STOCKY
Man CIty BE AWARE….
By the way: I like Man City and used to watch them for three years as a student in Manchester when they played in the 2nd Division and Paul Power was the captain.
I do not hate Man City and have no agenda against the club whatsoever
JUST THINK.

City season ticket holder and firstly like the majority of the city if I had to choose anyone to win the league apart from us it would be Arsenal just for the football.
Just a few points – It was always going to be a pressure match for Ade (just look at the two differing reactions of the away fans to Koro and Ade). Whist I agree the stamp could have been intended it could also have been an accident and the ONLY person to know is the man himself. Personally, it looked like he meant it and we can not really have a problem with any ban. I would suggest that if the referee is now saying he would have sent him off would he have also booked or sent Van Persie for the original tackle ? As for the celebration – no excuse stupid but understandable in the heat of the moment with the abuse (NOT RIGHT but understandable!) IMO certainly no worse than rooney kissing badge in front of everton, Henry in front of Spurs or the worst one of the lot Neville running down the touchline at Anfield. The result of the other three …Nothing ( well fine but no ban!) (and we could mention VP swearing at city fans after his goal!) If we are going to be fair and consistant lets be – 3 match ban for stamp and slap on wrist with fine for celebration. Of course it wont be ( remeber SWP at stoke kicking out and being handed a 3 match ban via video whilst rooney gets nothing).
Also for the record – eduardo did dive and it was cheeting but the ref gave what he saw and that it. if you start handing out bans for diving afterwards all the premiership players would suffer but then again how many united or chelsea players would ? Ban overturned right response.
Finally, city and arsenal should be with each other as neither of us likes spurs or united. good luck rest of season !

Adebayor, is quite simply a disgrace. His behaviour which he idsplayed was grossly unprofessional for the modern game that is Football. I think that the FA will have to make an example out of him and rightly so you can go around stamping on peoples Ankles or faces for that manor and then have the cheek to lie about the incident.
I think that the match ban would hurt the player more then the fine, Football players are on so much money nowadays that £100,000 fine is sadly pocket change to some of them. When he ran the lenght of the pitch to celebrate there isn’t a doubt in my mind that it was intentional I mean he had at least 10 seconds to think about his actions, poor judgement. My regret is that the coins that the Arsenal fans were hurtling at him didn’t manage to hit him between the eyes.
It’s also true that he had lets face it ONE good season with Arsenal, but when he didn’t get the move away to Barcelona or Milan in the summer he was a very different player the following season. Manchester City fans you will experience the same treatment when Man city don’t win the Premiership or get the the Champions league this season and most definately if the don’t win the Premier league next season he will become lazy and his work rate will decrease rapidly.
Lastly, I believe that they will finish outside of the Top 4 this season, and that Manchester united will beat them in the Derby this weekend, even though Arsenal were well beaten I though Man City just held on RVP had a shot hit the bar and cleared of the line and other chances which don’t come to mind.
Adebayor your nothing but a lazy bastard, a spoilt child you remind me of..

Must say some of these comments are quite terrible. Us Goooners need to have faith in the team that we support, not a player that obviously has his own opinion and morals in life. He got his deserved punishment and hopefully that will set him straight. If not, good like to the guy cause he wont last long.
Wigan this weekend, lets pack the Emirates and forget about the defeats with a win. The best thing to pump the lads before the game will be a boisterous home crowd cheering the names of OUR players.
Gunners for the league!! (Or at least another club beside MU, Cheski or Liversea!)

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas also claimed that Adebayor had tried to stamp on him during the game, and midfielder Alexandre Song, who is believed to be one of Adebayor’s closest friends, alleged that the striker had slapped him in the face (literally as well as figuratively).
